Clinical Research Analyst

The Clinical Research Analyst is responsible for reviewing clinical topics, providing insights towards clinical projects and marketing / commercialization opportunities which should be undertaken across AM&D. The Clinical Analyst will assist the team in offering high quality clinical solutions aimed at assisting our customers improve clinical care delivery.

Your role:

• Develops, prepares and communicates a clinical topic under consideration
• Determines clinical internal and external customer requirements
• Conducts clinical research and presents data using state-of-art media including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other presentation formats
• Provides analysis and tracking of competitive trends, clinical literature, and clinical data through ongoing reporting, ad-hoc analysis and partnership to share insights and ensure understanding within the clinical and marketing organization
• Assists in creation of offerings which can be studied to demonstrate clinical benefit
• Creates and publishes summaries and key takeaways from select journals, tradeshows, and societies that are of critical importance to the company
• Collaborates closely with marketing and product development on key articles/materials that should be leveraged to support sales conversations, update marketing messaging, or inform product development opportunities
• Coordinates with the CMO, Medical Directors, Marketing and Sales to identify topics of value requiring consideration
• Drives clinical data and clinical process analysis to ensure accuracy, optimization of execution and implementation of new analytic opportunities
• Identify and connect new customer needs, solutions and technologies to initiate new methods (or disruptive enabling technologies) of diagnosis, treatment and/or care within domain
•  Initiate and drive co-creation and discovery in line with overall strategy and roadmap, including: • co-creation and early ideation • shaping funnel of ideas and research projects with clinical and research partners • clinical research collaboration • creating and evaluating clinical prototypes • contributing to shaping of overall innovation roadmaps via insights
• Create value and impact by delivering meaningful innovations, IP, and transfers to the business that contribute to Philips growth
• Provide thought leadership in alignment with overall strategy, including supporting marketing strategies with key insights/trends, supporting market shaping and conditioning through publications, identifying and developing next generation Key Opinion Leadership by working with new partners
• Drive the execution of evidence creation in coordination with Clinical Affairs, including strategizing, identifying, setting up and executing clinical collaborations and studies

SENIOR RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Assist process chemist in performing R&D test work. Accurately prepare, analyze, and record data on all samples as well as prepare reports and maintain database records.  Staff for this role perform critical functions related to R&D, analysis which may contain sensitive information and may involve work with materials not routinely used in the lab.  Knowledge of and proficiency in complex tasks involving hazardous materials beyond the scope of routine work usually conducted in concentrates lab.  Demonstrated cross functionality with roles at other sites and support for chemists, engineers.

SUMMARY:

As a R&D Fabrication Technician you will be part of the R&D Design team for Access. You will be responsible to support the fabrication shop with fabrication and material handling.  As part of the fabrication team in R&D, you will be working with equipment such as saws, welders and fabrication equipment to create parts. 

YOUR IMPACT

FABRICATION DUTIES:

• Weld complex/customized parts and weldments with foresight to avoid any technical issues
• Responsible for determining the appropriate equipment and methods required to tool, tack and weld complex parts.
• Responsible for maintaining the equipment and tools required to perform the job in your area.
• Work closely with Sr. and Lead Technicians to maintain appropriate stock of tooling table equipment, welding equipment and consumables to perform the job at hand.
• Ability to interpret an engineering drawing and 3D model to develop complex tooling setups using BluCo modular tooling to create parts and weldments.
• Maintain tooling, tooling tables, welders and measuring equipment required for fabricating activities
• Assemble and/or disassemble complex projects and mechanical structures through referencing drawings and work instructions with minimal input.
• Ability to work with Engineering team when fabricating parts
• Ability to communicate via email, phone, in person and skype conversations
• Develop and mentor fellow fabrication specialists to follow best practices and standards.
• Operate equipment to part down material to appropriate size.

MATERIALS DUTIES:

• Shuttle finished parts to the next process or workstation
• Organize weldment kits and place in orderly fashion until needed for next process
• Tag all parts when finished for next steps
• Assist in material handling throughout fabrication shop as needed
• Unload and transport raw materials to proper location with fork truck or TMH
• Place in stagging area, organized neatly
• Label materials with color code, project # (if provided) and thickness or size (sheet, bar, tubing, etc.)
• Provide paperwork to materials team, to assist with receiving of material
• Place materials on inventory rack as needed

• Certified Welder (CW) (internal certification required within 30 days of hire).

The territory will include Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota. • Serve as the field-based medical expert for this territory in the MSL group within the medical organization
• Communicate accurate, clear, and valued information regarding our science and products to multiple levels within the medical community and report field observations to internal stakeholders

• Support Scientific Engagement Plan (SEP) in developing local territory R&D tactics
• Engage and educate healthcare stakeholders (including APPs, fellows, and residents) by communicating clinical and scientific data, advancing the scientific platform aligned with Amgen’s corporate goals and objectives
• Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy, and access enablers
• Provide in depth clinical and pharmacoeconomic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees, providing feedback to key internal stakeholders on customer trends in interpreting and using value evidence, reimbursement, and payer policy. May serve as main medical point of contact at prioritized local payer, regional payer, and IDN accounts

Position Summary

• Pfizer Oncology is seeking a highly motivated Research Project Manager (RPM) to join the Research Project Management team under Portfolio Strategy & Scientific Operations department within Pfizer’s Oncology Research Unit (ORU).

• The RPM will partner with discovery stage Research Project Leaders (RPL) and Nonclinical Project Leaders to develop Discovery project strategy towards selecting drug a candidate and preparing for IND submission. In collaboration with Non-clinical Project Leaders, the RPM continues driving implementation of non-clinical pharmacology activities through registration.

• The RPMs will be responsible for keeping project information (e.g., goals, milestones, governance) up-to-date in Oncodash by working together with Research Project Leaders and Nonclinical Project Leaders.

• The RPM is responsible for implementing standard processes and best practices to deliver non-clinical research objectives.

• The RPM will work closely with the discovery stage Research Project Leaders, Non-clinical Project Leaders, SMEs, and functional leaders to plan and advance concepts/assets from discovery Research stage through registration. There will be a close connection with key Research business partners such as Clinical Manufacturing & Control (CMC), Translational Sciences, Legal and Portfolio & Program Management (PPM) so that Research activities are in line with an overall strategic fit, incorporating overall company goals and perspectives.

• Project management foundation and relevant experience on matrix management, budget management, metrics, and leadership communication.

• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information to a broad audience and demonstrated ability to interact directly and productively with team members and management and to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities is also required.

• Ability to lead and engage in complex scientific discussions to develop/summarize clear follow-up/action plans and execute.

• Strong experience with building relationships, leading strategic initiatives, and programs, and collaborating across divisions with people of diverse business backgrounds and cultures.

• Highly organized and motivated individual with the ability to work independently/effectively with cross functional matrixed teams.
