Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites talented faculty with a flair for game development, mathematics, and computer science to join our faculty in August 2024. This position combines mathematical instruction with practical application in computer science, gaming, and animation, offering a platform for innovative teaching and scholarly excellence.
The Mathematics Department at ERAU Prescott offers a Bachelor of Science in Simulation Science, Games, and Animation (SSGA), a Bachelor's in Data Science, and a Minor in Mathematics. Staffed by 18 dedicated full-time faculty, the department provides specialized education for its degrees and supports all campus programs with essential math coursework. The SSGA aims to advance knowledge through content creation, interdisciplinary research, and project-based development and application. A diverse community of committed faculty is preparing students for excellence as future leaders in constructing interactive, immersive experiences that leverage emerging technology to improve the human experience and foster lifelong critical thinking and design skills.
- Lead mathematics courses tailored for computer science and simulation science applications
- Spearhead research in mathematical models for game engine architecture, AI, & informatics
- Guide students in applying mathematical theory to create compelling, interactive content
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects to develop simulations and games

Qualifications
- A terminal degree in Simulation Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Game Development, or a closely related field with a mathematical foundation
- Proven ability to teach mathematical concepts with applications in computer science and game development
- A record of integrating mathematics in simulation science and/or game design research
