Operations Research Mission Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a mission engineer, you’re passionate about analyzing existing missions and emerging capabilities and then reporting and developing recommendations that will advance client's missions. We need a mission engineer like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our mission engineering team, you’ll support analysis study tasks to evaluate the efficacy of legacy architectures, new technologies, and capabilities applied in new mission concepts of employment to meet evolving joint mission objectives. You will help produce mission blueprints which capture the means to achieve joint missions and the analytic justification for the value they provide.
You won’t go at it alone, you’ll work with a team to develop mission threads, decompose human and system interactions, and interview mission experts to help validate and quantify success factors. Once documented, you’ll help develop documents, reports, and presentations to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency.

You Have: Â
- Experience performing mission engineering or requirements analyses of DoD missions, developing mission-based inputs for requirements processes, or supporting assessment of mission capabilities
- Experience decomposing and analyzing the constituent parts of a mission and providing quantitative outputs, identifying measurable trade-offs, and formulating conclusions
- Experience with scenario development and performing analytical assessments utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and simulation tools such as AFSIM or Cameo
- Experience with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processes
- Knowledge of Air Mobility operations and information systems and processes
- Ability to apply operational analysis principles, theories, and concepts to execute study plans and analysis matrices
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience with Mission Engineering or Operations Research, or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience with Mission Engineering or Operations Research

- Experience working with and briefing senior personnel in a military headquarters environment
- Possession of excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
