- Troubleshoots HVAC/R systems with complex problems and extensive repairs requiring judgment to locate malfunctions

- Performs essential direct digital (DDC), electronic, pneumatic, electrical, and electromechanical control work incidental to the operation and maintenance of HVAC/R and building control systems

- Performs preventive maintenance on electronic control systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration

- Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex heating boilers and/or heating systems, single and multiple fuel power boilers, and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment

- Installs, repairs, and maintains large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning (AC), and cooling systems with complex problems and extensive repairs

• Performs advanced professional archival tasks, research and reference services. Ensures the collecting, accessioning, archiving and digitization of large bodies of historically significant materials meets command and professional standards.
• Performs a variety of duties in History, research and reference services. Answers requests for historical information requiring complex research in multiple sources.
• Disseminates historical information through the preparation of finding aids. Assists in maintaining archives.
• Carries out special assignments. Performs archival conservation and preservation work on the historic collections at the Agency.

• Applies administrative knowledge of all range systems and ground support capabilities to resolve difficult and complex problems by providing advice and direction to the Operations Group during the planning and operation of Range mission support.
• Approves emergency leave, as required. Informs the supervisor of team and individual performance, management issues and problems, and recommends corrective actions.
• Coordinates and deconflicts range system availability with other associated ranges to insure efficient and timely support of flight research projects. Maintain close contact with the Air Force Test Center and advises key management of any issues.
• In the absence of the supervisor, has full authority and responsibility to coordinate, monitor and direct the activities of all administrative support elements during a real-time mission.
• Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees; arranging for team member training; monitors and reports on the status and progress of work to supervisor, including individual and team training needs.
• Maintains administrative oversight role in range system development and testing and the transition of newly developed systems into the operational environment. Apply expert knowledge of range operations, systems and policies.

• Determine the structural integrity and adequacy of the aircraft within the design and/or maximum safe flight envelope. Determine specification compliance and mission suitability for assigned experiments aboard the aircraft.
• Make recommendations for resolutions to modifications to accommodate research requirements without affecting the air worthiness of the aircraft.
• Advise inspectors on which assemblies or systems have been fabricated or modified, and the results expected from these extensive modifications or fabrications.
• Participate with the crew chief in studying pending modifications or installations to determine necessity for repositioning or removing existing equipment, lines or tubes, or modification of mounts and braces to accommodate flight research systems.
• Recommend where to install experimental components, assemblies, or system for operational compatibility with other systems.
• Assemble and test components to assure research requirements are achieved. Make final acceptance/rejection recommendations after resolving problem areas and negotiating required modifications.
• Responsible for carrying out assigned duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the safety, health, and environmental policies set forth by the supervisor. Report hazardous situations and close calls.
