• Negotiate and compose technical customer test requirements into effective sled test requirements and measurements
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Establish reporting timelines for post-test data processing and publish written technical reports
• Understand and communicate technical information to stakeholders across various disciplines, both verbally and in writing
• Assist in the creation and archival of accurate and timely test documentation including contract documents, test plans, safety plans, security plans, launch orders, mission reports, etc.
• Document test setup and post-test conditions
• Use a variety of software and analytic methods to deduce test conditions. Test data includes, but is not limited to Doppler radars, high speed cameras, accelerometers and angular rate sensors
• Draw conclusions based on test data and compile into a technical report
• Communicate effectively with test team and customers to achieve proper data collection. Primary modes of communication include technical reports, presentations and meetings/email correspondence
• Work with and motivate team members across diverse functional areas
• Respond effectively to rapidly changing situations

• Performs a broad range of operations research analyses assignments entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technologies.
• Utilizes scientific inquiry in the independent development of mathematical models and computer programs to evaluate and predict the ability to support assigned projects, studies, or problems.
• Provides technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance on an entire project and/or major phases for broad and varied operations.
• Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies, and support system concepts.
• Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, research and development (R&D) organizations, and participation in formal training programs.

• Serve as center’s IH Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all matters regarding Industrial Hygiene.
• Formulate IH health hazard evaluations (in response to center safety reviews and project consultations) on all center operations to include institutional, science and construction projects; reporting the needed mitigation to ensure safe operations.
• Develop, plan, and implement comprehensive IH sampling/assessment design and perform health hazard sampling, surveys, and exposure assessments as required by the NASA set Environmental Health (EH) policies.
• Manage, implement, and audit the center’s 20+ IH related programs by complying to NASA’s Occupational Health policies.
• Draft and manage IH center directives and policies, reports, records, instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Provide branch management and center leadership with required scheduled metrics regarding the status of the IH programs.
• Develop and deliver IH training to workforce in-person and/or online.
• Develop effective working partnerships with other support/customer services, aircraft operations, and engineering organizations (e.g., Safety, Environmental, Medical, Facilities and Science and Aircraft engineering).

• Ensures the collecting, accessioning, archiving and digitization of large bodies of historically significant materials meets command and professional standards.
• Answers requests for historical information requiring complex research in multiple sources.
• Disseminates historical information through the preparation of finding aids. Assists in maintaining archives.
• Performs archival conservation and preservation work on the historic collections at the Agency; researches regulatory and policy issues; analyzes data; develops briefing slides; prepares documentation to support project needs, such as memorandums and reference papers; presents written and oral reports to supervisor or higher graded specialists, etc.

• Performs a broad range of operations research analyses and modeling projects related to the unique environment of influence operations, actions and activities through innovative use of techniques and practices, and discovery of sophisticated modeling approaches, incorporating as appropriate new and promising technologies.
• Exercises full technical responsibility and authority for Information Operations Division influence operations analysis, project development, and implementation of assessments.
• Represents USCENTCOM as the senior Assessments Subject Matter Expert (SME), establishing, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with higher headquarters and external organizations.
• Plans, organizes and provides technical direction to specified assessment personnel/social scientists.

• Performs complete studies of limited scope or portions of larger projects, modifying/adapting techniques to fit situations, some requiring innovative approaches.
• Utilizes scientific inquiry in the development of mathematical models and computer programs to evaluate and predict the ability to support assigned projects, studies, or problems.
• Provides technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance. Performs studies/evaluations on an individual basis or as a team member responsible for completing defined portions of an overall work effort.

HSR seeks individuals to lead the development, refinement, and implementation of VA health systems research portfolios with a particular focus in the following domains:

1. Health informatics/Data Science encompasses big data, virtual/telehealth, and connected care including cutting edge research on advanced methods to extract information from medical records and other data sources; development of predictive analytics to improve clinical care and health system management; computerized decision support to improve clinical decision-making and reduce medical errors; use of technology including smart phone apps to collect and disseminate information to patients, development and testing of innovations in the design and use of health information and virtual health care modalities to improve access to and outcomes of health care for patients.
2. Veteran, provider, and operational partner engagement Science encompasses research on systematic incorporation of end-user input across multiple interested parties (e.g., Veterans, including their families and caregivers, frontline providers, clinical managers and other employees, leaders, policymakers, and community members) to inform all stages of research from inception to dissemination and sustainment. Research examines strategies that optimize Veteran and community engagement to improve Veteran outcomes and Quintuple Aim goals. Research studies seek to develop, test and scale novel strategies to optimize engagement of Veterans, caregivers/families, providers, communities, and other interested parties in the research process, incorporating Veteran-centered outcome and lived experience data.
3. Specific duties include analyzing the needs, strategic plans, and goals of Health system Research and making recommendations for new directions and initiatives; conducting semi-annual scientific merit review meetings; identifying and recruiting VA and non-VA scientists to serve on review committees; evaluating HSR merit reviewed projects recommended for funding and contributing to HSR portfolio management; and providing technical and other expertise based on knowledge of HSR merit review programs and procedures, to colleagues and executive staff.
