• As a Research Psychologist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
• Communicate and inform Army leaders at the 4-star level concerning research outcomes and best practices to ensure a strategic understanding of the nuance and application of human performance optimization research.
• Apply appropriate statistical and analytic procedures to achieve empirical solutions to optimize Soldier physical performance.
• The incumbent will provide subject matter expertise to develop, direct, implement, coordinate and oversee empirical research designed to optimize Soldier and unit physical readiness and reduce injuries and attrition.
• Initiate programmatic changes to the U.S. Army physical readiness training and assessment doctrine and independently make changes to the Army’s program of instruction to reflect best practices in physical fitness training and health promotion.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• The position is responsible for the supervision, on-site technical, operational, and quality control direction for data collection program in the Kansas City Data Collection Center.
• Establishes, communicates, and monitors production goals and priorities for contract collection operations.
• Directs a program for, and evaluates, quality assurance activities in the data collection center.
• Provides expert guidance to contract staff to resolve unusually difficult conceptual, programmatic, and operations issues and to address response or other issues for particularly large, complex, or difficult companies.
• Serves as liaison between the Data Collection Center and BLS national office as well as among other data collection centers.
• Oversees the contractor management of technology and associated operational and logistical issues to ensure full infrastructure capability to operate the Data Collection Center reliably and efficiently.
• Supervises at least 25% of the time.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Direct the performance of a broad range of strategic and operational analyses to evaluate alternative force structure requirements and capabilities.
• Prepare analysis reports and model documentation pertaining to assigned studies describing objectives, assumptions, methodology, sources and uses of data, and results obtained.
• Lead the development of complex models and computer simulations of military force generation and readiness based.
• Assess performance and effectiveness of new or substantially modified force concepts.

• Serves as the Division Chief of the Test Analysis Division with full line authority for directing and performing full range of supervising duties. Responsible for developing advanced engineering and scientific techniques and methods.
• Directs and supervises the Test Analysis Division participating in the conceptual development, design, execution, and evaluation of operational tests and evaluations or combined developmental/operational (DT/OT) tests.
• Directs and supervises the Test Analysis Division that supports complex post mission test operations. Directs the development of innovative systematic approaches for problem solving and courses of actions.

• Supervises a staff of Market Analysts, Program Analysts, Material/Industrial Engineers, and Economists.
• Places exceptional emphasis on implementing and administering regulations governing the safeguarding of classified information, assuring that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of security regulations.
• Provides leadership and management to a staff of highly technical professionals responsible for coordinating, developing, and maintaining plans for the operation of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Strategic Materials.
• Analyzes and modifies short-and-long-range plans, programs, and objectives, recommending major changes to ensure the best possible level of support to the customer, stakeholders, and organization.
• Serves as the primary focal point on numerous issues related to the identification of strategic and critical material requirements and major application areas, and development of cost effective and responsive risk mitigation plans.
• Works closely and collaborates with high level management/personnel from DLA, Military Services, Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, other Department of Defense (DoD) and federal entities, US and foreign industry and governments.

• As an Operations Research Analyst, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
• Serve as a system analyst team member or an individual analyst.
• Plan and organize assignments, analyzing assignments to determine individual problems to be considered.
• Review reports of prior work in the field to determine what available solutions can be used.
• Participate in the statistical design of qualitative assessments tests, development of independent evaluation plans, snd subsequent analyses for assigned projects.

• Review format and content requirements for all nursing grant applications submitted by nursing personnel.
• Advise prospective nurse investigators on technical (regulatory and other formal criteria) and procedural requirements for protocol development.
• Ensure research protocols are in compliance with BAMC, Institutional Review Board (IRB) and/or the funding agency's regulations.
• Maintain correspondence with funding agencies to report problems or concerns in accordance with their regulations.
• Assist research assistants who perform a variety of clerical and receptionist duties.

• Incumbent independently performs technical duties in support of professional scientists conducting research projects in one or another of the fields of timber, recreation, wildlife, watershed, forest management, or forest fire research.
• A combination of two or more of the following duties are typical of those performed by the incumbent.
• Sets up laboratory equipment for making a variety of scientific measurements and observations of sample materials gathered from experimental field plots.
• Analyzes experimental data gathered in the lab by performing statistical manipulations on the data leading to basic conclusions and inferences, and accurately summarizes data.
• Locates study areas and study plots in the field according to requirements of a study plan or instructions of supervisor.
• Sets up standard equipment for performing any of a variety of field studies; compiles data from field and laboratory observations; analyzes data; and completes and documents data sheets.

• Position entails a variety of technical laboratory analyses evaluating food and water for the presence of harmful bacteria and other microbial agents to include diagnostic tests and technical support work in the fields of microbiology and immunology.
• Assist in the preparation of routine and special media, reagents, stains, and other supplemental items needed for the growth of microbial organisms.
• Participate in method verifications, validations and other investigative projects and laboratory analyses as assigned.
• Operate specialized equipment (microscopes, autoclaves, balances, centrifuges, Vitek, Atlas, Vidas, stomachers, biological safety cabinets, and fingerprinting equipment items etc).
