MAT Recruitment are working with one of our fantastic secondary schools in Warrington to hire a KS3 Science Co-ordinator to begin from January 2025. The successful candidate will join a high-performing and supportive Secondary school part of a wider progressive multi-academy trust.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of science education within the academy, supporting the Director of Learning in fostering a high-quality learning environment and promoting student progress across Key Stage 3.

As Key Stage 3 Science Coordinator, you will:
Lead, inspire, and motivate the science team in teaching Key Stage 3 Science.
Support continuous improvement in teaching and learning quality.
Monitor pupil progress across Key Stage 3, ensuring all students thrive academically.
Contribute significantly to all aspects of the wider science curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have:
A genuine enthusiasm for science and the ability to inspire both students and staff.
A commitment to collaborative working and driving curriculum improvement.
Strong leadership skills and a desire to advance their career in education.
A track record of successful teaching experience, with a focus on positive student outcomes.

The successful candidate will join a high-performing and supportive Secondary school part of a wider progressive multi-academy trust. This is a maternity cover role.

The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for students, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

You will have:
A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
