R&D Senior Software Architect – Medical Device / Motion Control (Cambridge, MA)

Your role:
Work on a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and experienced medical robotics R&D team, tasked with inventing and launching the next generation of medical solutions for Philips’ Image Guided Therapies business.
Architect and implement clinical-quality software solutions for a novel medical robot system in a medical-regulated environment with focus on requirements and feature definition, design, implementation, and use of robot software frameworks and multi-arm robot control algorithms; and integration in an Image Guided System.
Participate in or lead software design discussions and code reviews (both internal and multi-functional) for robotic solutions and workflows; and follow quality & regulatory processes (ISO13485, IEC 62304).

You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 10+ years of professional experience developing software for medical devices and preferably for medical robots, as an individual contributor and a team lead with experience in robotic (HW/SW) control system design, integration, debugging, verification, and testing.
Your skills include expert proficiency in C++, Python, Linux/Windows/RT Oses and experience with common frameworks and libraries (DDS, OpenCV, ROS, QT, WPF, QNX). You have extensive experience in hands-on design and development and troubleshooting of embedded software and hardware-integrated systems; and relevant design patterns, data structures and architectures for distributed and multi-process RTOS applications.
You have a MS, or PhD, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
You are a self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills; and a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. You enjoy a high-paced professional environment but also can excel in individual contributions, as well as team collaboration using agile methodologies.
