• As a Supervisory Operations Research Analyst, you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following:
• Serves as a senior operations research analyst and Division Chief, supervising a professional staff of military and civilian operations research analysts and other technical and support personnel.
• Performs the daily supervision of division personnel, to include assignment of work, reviewing and accepting their products, identifying training requirements, establishing performance objectives and performing evaluations.
• Applies professional knowledge and broad experience in operations research and systems analysis (ORSA) to the study and analysis of force structure, doctrine, materiel, and training or to the development of methodologies, models and analytic tools.
• Participates in and oversees the preparation of the final study/project report and assures that any analysis or methodology appendices prepared elsewhere are integrated into that document.
• Reviews studies/projects for analytical soundness and consistency and prepares comments and recommendations in accordance with TRAC guidance and policy for production and quality oversight.

• Responsible for formulating and guiding the identification, acquisition, sustainment, and deployment of test technologies, simulations, instrumentations, test support networks, test control systems for operational testing and experimentation.
• Oversees a validation, verification, and accreditation program, employing a risk-based approach to support and inform test technology requirements.
• Applies knowledge of systems engineering/ systems analysis concepts, simulation and data collection technologies, mathematics, and statistics.

• Discuss edited drafts with authors to explain suggested changes in content or format.
• Tactfully explain reasons for any needed changes to authors to secure their cooperation.
• Review manuscripts to assure consistency, and understand and apply necessary copyright laws and permissions, and analyze conclusions to ensure they are consistent with the facts presented.

Newly-hired mathematicians and mathematical statisticians begin their careers in the Mathematics Development Program (MDP). The goal of the three-year MDP is to provide on-the-job training in the broad range of mathematical and statistical sciences at NSA. This is primarily accomplished through 6-month tours in NSA offices of the MDP participant's choosing. Mentorship is provided for each tour and participants work on real mission problems.

MDP members also study cryptologic mathematics, statistical data mining, and related subjects in courses taught by Agency experts. Participants are required to develop skills in programming and using computational resources to solve mission problems. Various short-term and long-term travel opportunities exist for interested participants but are not required. MDP members are able to take advantage of other professional development opportunities available at NSA as well. This includes continuing education opportunities and optional Agency courses in everything from professional communication to goal setting to machine learning. Career mentorship and participation in professional networks such as WIMS (Women in the Mathematical Sciences) are strongly supported. Through the MDP, participants are rooted in the Agency community of mathematicians and mathematical statisticians. Also they are given the opportunity to explore a wide variety of problem sets. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Troubleshoot line/equipment mechanical and electrical problems, and perform efficient corrective maintenance to bring line/equipment back into a running and reliable state.

• Write and implement SOPs and Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures.

• Identify and implement mechanical/electrical changes to enhance quality, compliance, reliability and reduce cost, following cGMP and SOPs, with minimal supervision.

• Work with Production to determine line/equipment reliability issues; provide regular feedback on line/equipment status and estimated time to repair.

• Safely use maintenance hand/power tools and test equipment.

• Technical: Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to fill and package products in accordance with standards and procedures (cGMP, SOPs, etc.).

• Perform technical setup of line/equipment for daily operation, according to SOP for assigned work area.

• Maintain aseptic personnel certification, and practice good aseptic techniques in performance of duties.

• Assist plant engineers in new equipment startups and engineering changes.

Key Role:

Serve as an operations research analyst conducting operations research analysis in support of the assessment of cyberspace operations. Devise modeling and measuring techniques to investigate complex issues, identify and solve problems, and aid better decision making for strategic assessments. Apply or develop technologies and concepts to assist in advancing the assessment of cyberspace operations.
