Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships with local research institutions and collaborate on projects..
• Develop recycled additive manufacturing (AM) technology and develop specification for new AM powder.
• Need to keep track and understand the research progress in the field of sustainable materials.
• Manage multiple projects and maintain good communication channels both internally and externally.

Requirements:

• Master / PhD in materials science (metal, prefer Titanium/Aluminium/Stainless Steel).
• Familiar in the production of AM powder production.
• Familiar with metal AM printing technology (preferably metal laser bed powder fusion).
• At least 3 years of relevant research or work experience.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Develop new processes, materials and applications.
• Generate material and component specifications
• Generate test protocols, reports and manufacturing instructions.
• Organize and maintain experimental lab.
• Generate engineering drawings of devices and fixtures.
• Prototyping and building devices and fixtures for design evaluation and testing.
• Assist in development of assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Testing and other design evaluation, verification and validation activities per written and verbal test procedures.
• Inspecting components, sub-assemblies and finals assemblies for pilot builds.

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively and clearly, through verbal and written means
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Support product development, manufacturing and release.
• Perform other activities as necessary and as directed by Senior Management.
• Any other matters as decided by company.

Minimum Education Required:

• BEng or equivalent degree in technical area.

Additional Qualifications Required:

• Must have experience in design / product development, preferably in medical device industry.
• Previous experience in catheters and stents will be a plus.
• Experience with using 3D CAD software (eg. Solidworks, AutoCAD).

Minimum Experience:

• 1-2 years’ experience in design / product development, preferably in medical device environment.
• Fresh Graduate will be considered

d) Plans and proceeds prototype model evaluation and prepare evaluation to reports.

2) Re-design of Products

a) Supports Lead Engineer to estimate return and investment

b) Proceed re-design according to implementation plan

c) Proceeds electrical, mechanical or firmware design

d) Plans and proceeds prototype model evaluation and prepare evaluation report

e) Makes up product manufacturing standard

3) Technical Support

a) Prepares technical information for parts localize and price negotiation

b) Supports production line if necessary according to superior’s direction

c) Supports parts faculty/investigation according to superior’s direction

4) Improvement of work environment

a) Prepares work standard for department operations, and follow it
