What you'll be doing;
The purpose of the Risk & Assurance Manager (Physical Security) is to actively manage and support the business with all aspects of physical security. They will ensure that all corporate and operational sites have sufficient support with physical security.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Influence and engage with a wide range of senior leaders
- Lead and conduct physical security Incident reviews.
- Manage the physical security suppliers within the approved framework and in line with Veolia's Minimum Requirements.
- Escalate where significant risk or event has occurred - to the operational teams, Risk and assurance department and Senior Leaders
- Develop security knowledge for the wider team - upskilling wider R&A department and operational managers around physical security
- Responsible for coaching, training and supervising colleagues around framework for suppliers and influence around guidance/advice implementing physical security.
- Responsible for helping sites solve security problems - recommending work and improvements.
- Communication - putting together security alerts, communicating between stakeholders and sites.. Escalating and communicating updates to the General Manager level.
- Perform security vulnerability, risk assessments and Lead physical security incident investigations
- Provide physical security service, solutions, programs, standard methodologies and technical mentorship to the business
- Collect, measure and analyse regional and site physical security metrics to discover trends for continuous quality improvement or corrective measures
- Work with business development teams on new tenders, ensuring that the security element is both attractive and 'comes to life' for prospective clients.
- Responsible for physical security within bid submissions
- Working with MOD security clearances and approvals
What we're looking for:
- 8 + years Experience of physical security in industry
- Working knowledge of current industry trends and developments pertaining to security operations such as physical access controls, CCTV, and incident response.
- Expert knowledge and experience in Physical Security best practices (technical knowledge and demonstrated technical expertise)
- Experience of implementing successful change programmes
- Appreciation of all aspects of R&A including H&S, Environment and Risk
- Advanced knowledge of CCTV, access control systems and process, guard force management, reporting security metrics, security audits and incident reporting
