About the job
• Participate in preparation and analysis of financial impact assessment for IFRS 17.
• Support the design, develop and testing of Prophet Enterprise and Prophet PDMP and other relevant systems for IFRS 17 implementation.
• Review prophet model results and implement changes to Prophet/DCS/IDR for IFRS 17 purpose.
• Review financial output from SAS system and implement changes to SAS calculation for IFRS 17 purpose, developed as a subject matter expert on SAS.
• Conduct end-to-end testing on systems for IFRS17 purpose.
• Consider business and regulatory compliance risks and be aware of potential impact from the decisions made, takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Responsible for preparation of monthly new business reporting, if needed.
• Responsible for preparation of embedded value reporting, including analysis of results to the various stakeholders, if needed.
• Coordinate and assist in annual business planning exercise, provide in-depth analysis of financials and make recommendations when necessary, if needed.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging threats when collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to understand the implication and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns and risks and proactively shares best practices.
Skills and experience required
• Minimum Degree Educational Certification in Actuarial Science.
• Possesses 3 - 6 years of actuarial experience in life insurance with hands on working experience in prophet system.
• Project implementation and end to end testing experience is a plus.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive in initiating and leading discussion with various stakeholders.
• Proficient at actuarial work applications such as MS Excel and SQL.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• High level of integrity and takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
