The role of the Clinical Research Nurse/AHP is to take responsibility for the identification of clinical trials appropriate for our clinical services, the facilitation of these trials and once open, their ongoing management and care of patients and participants. Job summary This post brings an exciting opportunity to lead, with support, the day-to-day execution of a vanguard Hi Lab programme: TRICORDER-PLUS. This is the UK's first study applying a point-of-care artificial intelligence technology for triple cardiovascular disease to high-risk primary care cohorts across several UK geographies. TRICORDER-PLUS is designed as a precursor study to underpin a national screening programme. This work is principally funded by the British Heart Foundation and delivered by Hi Lab in close and unprecedented collaboration with NHS Integrated Care Systems, the National Screening Committee, industry collaborators, and the Pumping Marvellous patient charity. Duties and responsibilities Planning, implementation, and evaluation of TRICORDER-PLUS, in addition to immersing themselves in Hi Lab's wider portfolio. Collaboration with other Hi Lab team members and a diverse set of stakeholders across clinical/NHS, governance/regulatory, industry collaborator(s), and patient organisations. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Study governance; setting up research protocol, securing Health Research Authority approval (ethics approval); data protection office approvals Site initiation visits (travel); training primary care teams in the use of digital stethoscope technology and use of AI-guided clinical pathway execution. Hi Lab operates out of Imperial's White City Innovation District, where the appointed fellow will be based, but TRICORDER-PLUS encompasses NHS Integrated Care Systems in the North Thames geography and South West England. There will be scope for incorporating the implementation of technology-emabled pathway(s) in the Fellow's preferred sub-speciality to underpin registering with Imperial for a MD(Res)/PhD degree, or post-doctoral research. Clinical Responsibilities The post holder will hold an honorary clinical contract with the appropriate NHS Trust(s) and will flexibly be expected to take clinical responsibilities appropriate to their level of experience and expertise.
