As a Supervisory Attorney Advisor at the GS-0905-13, some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Coordinate Account Department legal activities with all other sections of the Processing Disbursement Center (PDC) to assure smooth and timely file flow between departments; as directed, coordinate with other SBA offices and agencies involved in disaster assistance.
- Monitor and evaluate home, business, and economic injury disaster loans for compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and administrative guidelines.
- Analyze departmental legal performance and identify problems in all phases of the operation and recommend corrective actions.
- Assure effective inter-and intra-department communications and resolve disagreements among subordinates.
- Ensure that all information provided to loan applicants by department is accurate and consistent.
- Serve as a supervisor to legal staff such as attorney-advisors, paralegal specialists, and other legal support staff.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
THIS POSITION IS REQUIRED TO REPORT TO THE FORT WORTH OFFICE AND MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR TELEWORK. - Employee's residing within commuting distance of the PDC may be required to physically report to the PDC five days per pay period or more often as determined by Department Management.
- Mandatory Overtime: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required while on assignment (up to seven days a week and ten to twelve hours a day).
- The PDC Ft. Worth, TX location is conveniently located near the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and DART/TRE Station. In addition, employees are eligible to apply for transportation subsidy to utilize the local DART/TRE bus/rail transit system.
- This is an Excepted Service position and is not in the competitive service.
- Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur within 180 days from the closing date.
