Outline of the role

The Retail Apprenticeship will involve working in our store as a full -time team member, helping with every aspect of creating a great customer experience and learning about how a retailer operates their business. YOUR MISSION

• Accountable for ensuring individual performance consistently achieves or exceeds sales, KPIs and profitability goals through the effective servicing of customers.

YOUR TALENT

Position Overview

• Independent visits with adult congenital cardiology patients in the outpatient setting

Seeking a highly skilled, experienced APP to join our growing cardiothoracic critical care team. This is a 24/7 service therefore this position requires days, nights, weekends and holidays in a rotation with the team.

In this position you will be responsible for examining, diagnosing and treating patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, and thoracic diseases under the direction of the attending physician. Our APPs play an integral role in the multidisciplinary care team by coordinating discussion, communication, and implementation of care plans with various consulting physician services, nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, nutritional support, and other ancillary teams. In addition to these skills, you will be expected to have obtained competency in common ICU procedures, including but not limited to endotracheal intubation, arterial blood gas collection, arterial catheter line placement, central venous catheter line placement, temporary dialysis catheter line placement, transvenous pacemaker line placement, and pulmonary artery catheter line placement. 

Our cardiothoracic critical care providers are also the rapid response team for the hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab.

Our APPs are expected to manage endotracheal tubes, tracheostomy tubes, ventilators, pacemakers, sedation (MAC and Deep), interpret ABGs and VBGs as well as complex acid/base derangements, manage fluid balance goals with diuretics, hemodialysis, and CRRT, vasopressors and inotropes, XRAYS, and laboratory investigations.

• About the unit

7 Center provides bedside care for high risk postpartum or post-delivery patients. Complications can be high blood, diabetes management, complicated medical history, Covid-19 and more.  Care for newborns that have issues with feeding, blood sugar management, high bilirubin levels, infant antibiotics if needed.  Couplet care, where we care for mom and baby together.

Scope of work

The Nurse Tech acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.

Provide patient care, vital signs, transportation, taking vital signs, collaborating with RN, blood sugar checks

Also work in the nursery where they care for newborns. Learn to take baby vitals, assist with circumcisions, do different required testing for newborns. Hearing screen, care seat testing, blood sugars etc.

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent

• Pallet to Waist (6" from floor) > 5 lbs: Seldom up to 50 lbs
