Business Assistant
£23,400 - £27,500 plus great benefits (Work level 6B)
Manchester City Centre, in this role you'll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into the office at least 3 times a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
We're looking for a Business Assistant to join our Commercial function, and provide support to our Heads of Commercial, making sure these colleagues are organised and able to work as efficiently as possible. In this role, we'll look to you to provide a professional and personal service with a difference. You'll be an advocate for change and new ways of working, making sure our senior leaders are always up to date, informed and organised. We'll need you to act as a trusted confidant for the team, working with professionalism and discretion at all times.
This isn't your ordinary business assistant role. It's an opportunity for you to learn new things and gain exposure across our commercial function, while growing your skill set and building your profile.
What you'll do
- Support senior leaders with administrative activity such as diary and email management
- Attend and support key meetings, managing the agenda and logging action points
- Make sure our leaders are prepared for meetings, and that they have all the information and documentation that they need, when they need it
- Be a proactive member of the business assistant network, sharing ideas and ways of working
- Be involved in a wide range of ad-hoc project work within commercial
This role would suit people who have
- Great organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
- A high level of proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Microsoft Outlook - as you'll be using this software to coordinate multiple diaries and workloads
- The ability to build meaningful relationships with a range of colleagues and key partners
- The confidence to engage with external suppliers at senior levels - you'll need to represent yourself, the commercial team and the Co-op professionally at all times
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to challenge and escalate issues when necessary
