You will serve as a Supervisory Business Unit Manager and will be responsible for providing supervisory, administrative and technical management of the U.S. Coast Guard's automated active duty and reserve pay and personnel system. You will also provide personnel support to USCG customer and for the timely processing and payment of semi-monthly payroll.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Evaluating legislative and regulatory changes and Comptroller General decisions and establishing policies and directions for implementing them.
- Providing responsive and timely service to Pay and Personnel Center (PPC) customers.
- Making continuous improvements to the services and products provided by Military Account Support Branch.
- Processing pay entitlements and ensuring that the semi-monthly payroll is accurate and timely.
- Furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO) by ensuring the accomplishment of affirmative action objectives and adhering to non-discriminatory employment practices.
This position has been designated as Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
