JOB DESCRIPTION
The candidate will have opportunities to work on exciting projects/deals in the fast-growing data centre industry, seeing through the entire project life cycle from inception to execution. He/she will be part of a team that works closely together to identify, source, negotiate and execute business opportunities in both new and existing markets.
As part of Keppel Group’s drive towards advancing sustainable development, the candidate will also have opportunities to be involved in the development and implementation of sustainable solutions in the data centre space.
This role will report to the Head of Business & Programme Development and is based in Singapore.
Job Description:
Drives data centre development projects in Singapore and overseas
Actively contribute and participate in driving/co-driving key strategic initiatives and in developing business or investment cases (including but not limited to new market entry, partnerships, decarbonisation/renewables etc)
Provide overall support for an innovative and sustainable data centre campus development in Singapore
Involve in sustainability efforts to decarbonize new and existing data centres, including working with renewable energy and low carbon energy providers
Support end-to-end investment process, including origination, deal evaluation, commercial viability, financial analysis and modelling, negotiations, due diligence, and execution
Conduct market research / scanning and be up to date with industry developments in key identified markets
Prepare briefing papers and presentations materials for management, potential partners and customers
Mentor and guide junior team members where necessary
Support ad-hoc initiatives as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Corporate Finance, Real Estate, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 8 to 12 years relevant working experience in business development, real estate, infrastructure, investment banking, renewables, or M&A. Experience in data centres or energy-related industries is a plus.
Good business acumen to be able to negotiate and structure deals. Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, driving and executing initiatives under pressure and tight deadlines.
Ability to conduct financial, commercial and risk analyses of business opportunities.
Good communication and writing skills. Competent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Enthusiastic learner who is independent, self-motivated and proactive, yet also an effective team player
Willing to travel as required
