Our Opportunity
SIX UK supplies defence and security customers with secure communications ranging from tactical solutions, through to the Edge, Cloud and onwards to SATCOM. The business also covers command and control systems, Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) and the evolving Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) market. The SIX UK Sales team have an exciting new opening for a Head of Sales (Land) to join their team. In this dynamic role, you will focus on supporting organic growth, connect our disparate Land activities into a coherent Land sales strategy and drive capture strategies within the Land portfolio.
As Head of Sales – Land you will be responsible for leading and coordinating Land sales activities, delivering on Order Intake targets, ensuring forecast accuracy and driving a proactive Land Communications growth strategy. You will focus on pursuing new customers and avenues in order to leverage wider GBU products and services. As the Head of Sales – Land, you will develop customer intimacy, positively drive the Land Portfolio strategy and effect positive influence on the broader Thales Group stakeholders.
Day to Day you will:
Visit, maintain and expand on your networks and customer communities in the UK.
Focus on generating or overseeing capture campaigns across key areas in the UK and overseas.
Create a stable pipeline of product sales, engaging with our international counterparts to create opportunity.
Create a dynamic and leading capture strategy.
Liaise with and positively influence numerous and diverse stakeholders from across the GBU, into other BLs and internationally (DGDI).
Work closely with Value & Bid and Capture functions to address an opportunity, in order to deliver high level value propositions and winning bids.
Coordinate and influence with other functions in the group such as legal, finance, Bids, Projects to deliver winning bids.
Encourage and model an inclusive and diverse environment, demonstrating the Thales Leadership behaviors at all times.
About you
You will be a strong communicator with excellent business partnering and influencing abilities. You are well versed in sales automation tools such as sales analytics, sales tracking, reporting and performance with the ability to use data to make high quality, customer centric decisions. You will have proven strategic leadership experience, with the ability to encourage and develop your team through coaching, feedback and creating an inclusive environment. You are able to manage risk where appropriate and foster entrepreneurship and innovation in both yours and your team’s roles. An in depth knowledge of UK military communications technologies and customer organisations will be of benefit.
