THE JOB

Job Title

• Merchandise Specialist (part time)

Job Description

• Are you someone that enjoys working in a fast-moving environment?  Do you enjoy live music?  Do you enjoy working with a team of people supporting a common goal?  Are you someone that thrives in guest interaction roles?  Then the Live Nation Merchandise Specialist position may be the right opportunity for you.  Merchandise Specialists are directly supervised by the venue’s Merchandise Manager.  They arrive at a concert venue on show day and immediately jump into motion.  Artist merchandise needs to be inventoried, distributed, and displayed for sale.  When the gates open, fans rush into the venue to buy their shirts, hats, and posters, and they flock to you.  You fulfill their orders quickly and carefully while taking the time to make each fan smile.  After the show is over, you help the team reassemble the remaining merchandise.  Once reconciliation is complete and the merchandise returned to the Artist, you head home, knowing you put in a full day’s work.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Objectives of the Role

• Provide an exceptional merchandise purchasing experience for all guests and fans in Live Nation venues
• Fulfill the order of guests in a timely fashion, ensuring they receive the correct items and sizes as requested
• Accurately ring-up guest purchases in Live Nation’s sales system
• Act as a brand ambassador for Live Nation, its local sponsors, and the venue

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in inventory count-in and count-out procedures
• Create visually appealing displays and price items correctly
• Complete sales transactions for each guest
• Support successful sales operations at each event
• Contribute to a positive work environment
• Perform physical duties as required by the role, such as moving equipment or transferring merchandise between locations
• Take direction from their supervisor, the venue’s Merchandise Manager

Job Requirements

• Must be able to available for the entire concert day, with shifts as long as 15 hours (with breaks)
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to a 50 pound box
• Must be able to work in outdoor environments in potential extreme temperatures
• Must have a working understanding of touch-screen based systems
• Must be of legal working age in the state

Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Associate, Repair Sales to promote innovative solutions with customers.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prospect existing accounts for repair sales opportunities 

• Consult with customers on upgrades relating to enhancing safety or reliability

• Survey existing accounts for obsolescence – propose, educate, and consult with customer

• Responsible for independent site surveying of elevator equipment

• Ensure that all mechanic’s leads are proposed within 5 business days
• Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers
• Follow-up on Proposals until formally dispositioned

• Partner with Client Relationship Managers to identify repair leads with existing customer base.
• Create detailed capital planners for all customers
• Manage opportunities in the CRM pipeline and provide accurate forecasting

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or currently pursuing degree which must be awarded prior to start date.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven track record selling and negotiating service contracts
• Comfortable with cold-calling current and future customers with repair opportunities

• Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
• Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
• Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
• Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software
• Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Elevator industry experience a plus
• Prior sales experience preferred

The Regional Vice President’s (RVP) primary responsibility is to facilitate the growth of retirement plan sales through Financial Professionals, TPAs, RIAs, and DC I/O Firms.  This is accomplished through promoting both our product options and our alliance partners’ products, advising and assisting Financial Professionals during the prospecting stage, and attending sales calls as requested.

Territory: MD, DC, and VA.  Successful candidate must live in the DC surrounding area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strong, in-depth ERISA and plan design knowledge
• Ability to discuss industry trends with high end DC focused Financial Professionals
• Ability to learn multiple platform/product solutions; assist Financial Professionals with a “needs analysis” to ensure recommending the appropriate solution
• Strong knowledge of key competitors with the ability to highlight our competitive advantages without “negative selling”
• Establish and maintain productive, working relationships with Financial Professionals  with the goal of earning their retirement plan business
• Coordinate wholesaling efforts with Ascensus Internal Sales Coordinator (ISC’s/internal sales) and ASC Internals to maximize coverage and effectiveness
• Remain current on industry, technical and product knowledge. Complete management reports, expense reports and other special tasks as requested.
• Conduct a minimum of sixty (60) meetings per month , 45 with Financial Professionals and document meetings in CRM
• Maintain a Top 150 list Financial Professionals” to help develop territory practices/geographic rotation
• Ability to discuss Fiduciary [3(21)] Solutions, including various mutual fund share classes and impact on plan/cost
• Ability to discuss in detail operating expenses of investment products, impact of certain share classes on overall “cost” of services to Financial Professionals and Employers
• Assist existing employers and Financial Professionals in the retention of current business (as needed)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong working relationships with DCIO firms in region to promote our solutions to Financial Professionals
• Participation, as needed, in “finals presentations”
• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment
• Series 6 and 63 (or the ability to obtain within six months of employment)
