Sales & Business Development Manager
We are excited to support our well-established and highly regarded client in the construction industry in their search for a Sales & Business Development Manager, to join their busy team based in the Dover area.
You will work with the technical sales & commercial team in order to develop new business opportunities, acquiring new clients and account managing to develop long-term relationships. Through engaging with your existing clients and prospecting future customers, you will help develop and promote an organic and evolving commercial strategy.
Salary is c£45-50,000 per annum - dependent upon experience - with a company profit share scheme, company pension, death in service scheme, and 28 days annual leave. This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working, after a successful settling-in period, of three days a week at home. You will also travel to visit and meet with clients on occasion, as well as attend events, though a lot of meetings will be carried out via Teams.
Duties to include:
- Developing and securing new business via multiple revenue streams and frameworks
- Create, maintain and grow relationships with customers
- Active promotion of the business to the market
- Customer and market analysis
- Analyse customer performance through investigation of current volumes and revenue streams
- seeking growth opportunities
- Organise and attend meetings with potential clients, both face-to-face and virtually
- Use networking and social media to drive organisational and personal presence
- Attending networking and supply chain events
- Act as a brand ambassador and advocate for the business
- Work alongside the technical sales team to write, create and deliver first class proposals
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a highly successful and experienced Business Development professional, with background experience gained within the construction industry
- Have marketing experience developing and implementing proposals within a commercial environment
- Be a relationship management professional
- Be highly adept at exceeding targets, problem solving, and be resilient and driven
- Have analytical skills and able to interpret statistical and market data
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written
- Have a full driving licence
