We are seeking a Business Systems and Projects Team Leader to manage all Information Systems and oversee Business Systems Projects (BSP) at Hertsmere Borough Council, assisting with all areas of support demands and acting as Team Lead for the BSP team.
The role involves managing and resolving complex problems affecting the use of Information systems to maintain underlying business processes; ensuring all problems are solved or channelled to the appropriate support function. It will also include managing and co-ordinating with the BSP team to support at 2nd/3rd line for the range of Council Business Systems Applications, running computerised processes, and a providing systems administration service.
The successful candidate will be well-organised and efficient. They must be able to adjust to demands and define priorities, work rapidly and accurately and have the ability to communicate effectively with other professionals, elected members and senior managers within the Council.
The post-holder needs to be knowledgeable and skilled in finding solutions to technical problems within the resources available and able to adapt existing procedures and produce new ones. The post-holder must juggle conflicting demands on a continuous basis.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
The post offers on-going access to learning resources to build and to develop within the Information and Digital Services department in line with business needs and the technology used at HBC.
