Role Purpose:
The Shopper Marketing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Shopper Marketing Team to produce and execute in-store promotional material (POS). Driving sales and conversion by implementing clear and engaging POS to help our customers to spot and shop our excellent range of offers and products and providing excellent in store experience.
This role reports to Assistant Marketing Manager for Shopper Marketing at Superdrug Stores Plc.


A typical day in this role includes:
Key internal stakeholders: Wider Marketing team, buyers, store teams
Key external stakeholders: External agencies and suppliers, ITG, FSU Agency, DHL Parcels
Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage all promotional POS for ROI stores
Liaising with buyers to ensure POS reflects accurate pricing
Working closely with ITG to develop creatives
Creating clear and engaging footfall driving Point of sale inviting customers to come in and shop our fantastic offers
Delivery of the Starbuy and Core members POS plan to all Superdrug stores
Working closely with our key suppliers to gather accurate guidelines
Understanding the best use of POS in each store space, working closely with and taking feedback from store teams to ensure it’s right for our customers
Finance admin
Support wider team with adhoc administrative tasks

• Responsible for delivering the test strategy and approach in a continuous product development environment working with the DevOps Team
• Lead the in-house and offshore test team including third parties in the delivery of functional and non-functional testing (including regression and integration testing), including virtual test teams established on an interim basis from within the wider Dev/Ops and user communities
• Liaise with Business Product Owners and key stakeholders to identify “end-user” resources for testing and to ensure appropriate testing is performed
• Manage the availability, configuration and assignment of test and Integration environments in line with agreed demand
• Represent testing on transformation delivery, IT Operations and portfolio progress forums.
• Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
• Improve efficiencies by introducing daily and weekly dashboards of reports and introducing automation tools for functional and non-functional testing.
• Be responsible for the delivery of testing activities on all projects delivering new applications or change to existing applications

Analysis, review, define, shape and document both functional and non-functional business requirements document and some cases re-engineer business processes (As Is and To Be)
Support business stakeholders with early business case production including business, technical and financial feasibility assessment
Ensure the trace-ability of requirements through to end user testing
Assist in the definition of test plans and testing strategies and in the creation of test cases and in some cases conduct end user testing
Assist the business stakeholders in the definition of roll out plans, communication and training and user support plans to effectively land any IT change into the business
Create and/or review user manuals, procedures, and any related user documentation
Support any third party selection process by providing input regarding the business requirements
Support the review of any third party contracts ensuring that the needs of the business are met
Contribute to post-implementation reviews to incorporate learning into future projects

Project Delivery - As a critical and important member of the IT Applications department, you will sometimes be required to take personal accountability for project delivery and successfully managing end to end technology and process change
Occasionally undertake project management activities on small, discreet pieces of IT change work
Follow standard project management methodologies
Capability Development - As an active member of a small Business Analyst team you will be expected to contribute to the development of the teams skills and culture
Contribute to the definition and development of Best in Class capabilities
Continually strive to improve business analysis standards in line with best practice across the IT Department whilst developing and adopting new processes and systems
Coach the business around how to articulate their business requirements and associated business benefits
Champion the value of business analysis within the business
What you’ll need to succeed
4+ years Business Analysis experience
Retail experience essential
Business Analysis experience in Financial and / or Commercial systems (e.g. Oracle Financials, RETEK etc...)
Genuine interest in technology and digital transformation
Proven track record in delivering initiatives, improvements and efficiencies
Outstanding communication and influencing skills
High energy with a positive “can do” attitude
