Assists in developing and implementing marketing programs for the FSS Squadron. The CO Communications Sales Enablement Lead will serve as an integral part of the global CO Communications team, driving employee communications for the CCO and serving as the main point of contact for sales enablement materials and CO crisis communications.

• Critically review and analyze portfolios to reduce risk and enhance profitability

• Facilitate credit requests, including loan structuring, negotiating/pricing, collateral, ensuring adequate loan documentation, and analyze industry/credit risk

• Facilitate the resolution of customer problems and engage product experts

• Participate in community and business functions/groups to establish referral contacts within the marketplace

• Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws

• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Basic knowledge of single investor tax, loans, TRAC, operating, synthetic, and debt transactions

• Basic knowledge of commercial products, credit policies and procedures and terminology

• Well-developed sales and negotiation skills

• Basic credit analysis skills

• Ability to structure more complex credit requests

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements

• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• 1+ years successful sales experience gained through equipment lease origination required

• Experience with tax-exempt products preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $111,250 to $196,250 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals. Role Summary:

As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and trade organizations, understanding and solidifying purchase agreements, customer alliances and market trends. You will also develop a keen understanding of Flowserve operations to enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate selling efforts with other internal and 3rd party selling channel partners.

A typical work week:

The Sales Engineer will have the flexibility to work two days either from a local office or from home. They will spend three days per week at customers' locations. The primary focus of their work will be in the Houston area, with occasional travel to other locations, which may constitute up to 25% of their work schedule.
 

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Training in sales techniques, negotiations and business finance.

• Demonstrated skills in leading meetings, including setting agendas, preparing, facilitating discussions and assigning follow-up activities.
