Responsibilities to include:
Preparation of written quotations for submission to client.
Determine any additional information required and contact the client to obtain this information as necessary
Continuously be aware of any revisions and alterations supplied by the client and to take these alterations into account through the Quality Assurance Procedure, particularly looking for any cost impact to the company.
Inputting all sales orders and producing work orders
Show commercial awareness in highlighting changes to orders which may result in chargeable extras being invoiced to clients
Raise purchase requisition for bought in items
Build client relationships to maximise potential opportunity.
Maintain and update the company CRM system and submit monthly reports in a timely fashion
Must be prepared to be flexible in order to meet the needs of the Company and its clients including intermittent travel.
Proactively generate new business through various commercial methods such as prospecting calls and marketing initiatives
Resolving invoice queries with clients and raising credit notes.
Hours of work: Mon-Thursday 9.00am -17.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm
Salary: Market Rate
Holidays: Full time - 25 days per year (Holiday year Jan - Dec) + 8 Bank holidays, Pro rata for part time.
Life Insurance: 3 times basic salary whilst in employment
Pension Scheme: Automatic enrolment if meet criteria, 5% Employee, 3% Employer. After 1 year in April - Age related up to max 6.5%.

We are currently looking for a Sales Office Administrator to join our Leeds depot. You will be professional and safety conscious in your outlook, with a helpful and productive attitude.

The successful candidate would be the direct point of contact for our customers ensuring all requirements and orders are fulfilled in accordance with our Quality system.

General Duties

* Inputting customer orders received via telephone and email
* Responsible for dealing with customer queries and complaints
* Following up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
* Communicate, liaise and negotiate effectively with customers
* Produce Certificates of Analysis / Certificates of Conformity and exchange notes when required
* Receive and direct all incoming calls
* Complete a range of required paperwork and filing
* Potentially take part in regular stock takes
* Provide support to sales representatives
* Supporting the sales department with other administrative tasks

Ideal Candidate:

* Previous sales administration experience within a similar environment
* The ability to work as part of a team
* Self-motivated and capable of managing your time effectively
* The ability to multitask and prioritise ensuring all administration is kept up to date
* A good level of IT literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* A good communicator with an excellent telephone manner
* Background or understanding in the shipping industry
