What you'll do:
The purpose of this role will is to learn and grow into a proficient HRBP, who can implement and support the people related initiatives and change programs linked to the People Strategy. They will report to the Head of HR Operations and also complete a number of rotations within the HR team in order to gain a rounder experience of life within an HR function.
Key duties will include:
- Support people change projects that drive continuous improvement to the business and ensure retention of key talent.
- To support the implementation of all People initiatives within the People Strategy within the client group.
- To build confidence and capability to coach new and existing Managers to help evolve the culture of Telent and to ensure that we are compliant within the legal framework.
- Familiarise yourself with the Employee relations basics and processes that need to be followed to address issues and support managers.
- Gain an understanding of all the key processes and policies supported by HR Shared Services team.
- Work with the HR Ops team in the successful and effective implementation of people initiatives within the People Strategy.
- Support the management of key change HR projects to ensure continuous improvement and overall delivery of business strategy.
- Support the HRBP's and Head of Internal Communications and Engagement with the completion, analysis and communication of employee engagement surveys.
- Support the HR Operations team to deliver annual activities and initiatives.
- Attendance at Managers Operational meetings to represent HR and to update on statistics, projects and organisation wide people initiatives.
- Work within the Employee Relations team in order to understand the processes and approaches with regard to the management of sickness, performance, capability and redundancy and consultation.
- Work with other HRBPs and internal teams across the business on cross functional projects to build a One Telent approach.

- Although supported throughout the programme by us at Telent you will need to take ownership of your tasks and personal development
- You will need to have strong planning and organisation skills
- Communication is vital; you will need to be an effective communicator both in writing and verbally
- You will be expected to travel to various Telent sites as requested by your line manager.
The Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's Grade 4 or higher (or equivalent qualification). This must include Maths and English.
- Minimum of 3 A-Levels or equivalents (Grade A-C)
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and eligible for Security Clearance
- 6 months+ work experience with or within a Hr function.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Must be over the age of 18 by September 2024.
Programme Specifics:
- This Level 5 apprenticeship is typically 25 months in duration
- Starting salary of £27,000 - £29,000 which will increase throughout the duration of the programme.
- The qualification you gain will be Level 5 People Professional.
- Our chosen training provider will support you in obtaining your qualification.
- On completion of your apprenticeship, we hope to offer you a full-time position with Telent where you can continue to pursue your career
- You will be mentored by colleagues, supervisors, managers and tutors throughout the programme
