Role Summary:

As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key EPC customers and trade organizations, understanding and solidifying purchase agreements, customer alliances and market trends. You will also develop a keen understanding of Flowserve operations to enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate selling efforts with other internal and/or 3rd party selling channel partners.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Drive bookings levels to meet and/or exceed assigned bookings goal

• Maintain regular, planned communication with key customers in the area you support

• Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional sales objectives to support organizational goals

• Serve customers as a primary contact for all business dealings, ensuring all customer concerns are being addressed including proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, warranty claims, etc.

• Educate customers on the quality, features and uses of our products through the full use of the company’s marketing materials

• Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure customers’ needs are met

• Knowledge of the design and operational requirements of control valves and automated on-off valves

• Skilled at product demonstrations, presentations and business writing

• Proficient in technology such as Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint

• Maintain organized records, including regular reports, quotes, status, actuals, expenses, etc.

• Demonstrate financial acumen to discuss business decisions, particularly return on investment in support of solution selling

• Able to work independently, efficiently and communicate productively with others

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Sales experience with control valves and automated on-off valves

• Experience in the oil & gas, power, paper and chemical industries, and EPC project business activities

• Training in sales techniques, negotiations and business finance

• Demonstrated skills in leading meetings, including setting agendas, preparing, facilitating discussions and assigning follow-up activities

• Ability to lead root cause failure analysis and communicate results

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Project management experience is a plus

• BS or BA Degree in a relevant field and/or 5-7 years of relevant experience

A typical work week:

The Sales Engineer will have the flexibility to work two days either from a local office or from home. They will spend three days per week at customers' locations. The Finance Business Partner Manager position works closely with the Plant Manager, the site and group leadership team to drive key initiatives and help the Company achieve its goals and maximize returns on investments. The role uses data and analysis as a strategic asset to provide decision support, accurate planning, forecasting, operational productivity and investment analysis. This position will ensure accuracy and completeness in the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement planning and forecasting as well as timely variance analysis.

The position reports directly to the Finance Business Partner Director with matrix responsibilities to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Provide business and financial analysis identifying important trends to assist Operations in achieving its objectives.
• Analyze key metrics and provide insights and value-added analysis to leadership regarding revenue, margins, competitive landscape, products, customers, capital investments, etc.   Develop financial models that support analysis and lead to business understanding and decision-making.
• Make recommendations for potential improvements and identify potential risks and opportunities to financial targets.
• Drive Financial performance management including the annual budgeting, monthly forecasts, and communication of results.
• Identify and develop key actions in partnership with the site team required to achieve forecast targets.
• Drive processes and initiatives to reduce primary working capital and maximize operating cash flow.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information in compliance with US GAAP and company policies, procedures and controls.
• Meet all reporting deadlines with accurate and complete data.
• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and corporate functions and all levels of the organization.
• In collaboration with the management team, ensure actions are clearly identified, continuous improvement projects are executed and delivered to meet objectives.
• Provide regular updates on performance and actions to achieve objectives.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Minimum 5 years Finance or Accounting experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley 404
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel)
• Able to multi-task in high pressure, time-constrained situations
• Strong analytical skills
• Exceptional business and financial acumen with a drive for results

Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a resourceful, motivated Sales Support Representative to respond to our customers’ inquiries regarding parts, pricing, and service needs for our control valves, isolation valves, and supporting equipment used in industrial settings including refineries, chemical plants, and power companies. 

This successful candidate will be able to work effectively with our extensive parts catalog, drawings, and many other reference materials to quickly and accurately support our customers. The position will work closely with Sales Engineers and Application Engineers to satisfy our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to inquiries about price quotes, discounts, parts availability, order status, etc., with a solid understanding of commercial terms, the terms of existing contracts, and the process required to set up new accounts.

• Process orders, quotations, change orders, shipping modes, etc. accurately and quickly. Demonstrated ability to expedite orders with other departments and vendors.

• Resolve problems with the right level of initiative, collaboration, and perseverance to satisfy the customer's requests within the guidelines of published procedures.  Help provide alternative options for supplying unavailable products and services.  Work independently and accurately to complete projects.

• Negotiate terms with customers, including lead-times in accordance with operational capacity, delivery terms, and payment terms.   Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of the customer and the Company to establish win-win agreements and relationships. Review contracts.

• Resolve Accounts Receivable issues, with the ability to assert specific terms and apply credits and discounts as required.

• Communicate and collaborate daily with all stakeholders, including customer, distributors, inventory, repair, manufacturing, shipping, engineering, and sales, regarding order status and issues.

• Maintain current, accurate, organized records.

• Understand and comply with legal requirements (e.g., SOX, Export Compliance, Terms and Conditions, ISO, FCPA, etc.)

• Assists in the reconciliation of customer consigned inventory and data inputs

Requirements:

• Excellent organization skills and attention to details, time management, and deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently and be a Team Player.

• Ability to multitask efficiently and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Dependable, self-motivated with little supervision.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• College Degree, or equivalent to relevant industry experience, preferred.

• Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
