New-to-Canada, one of the portfolios in the Segments Marketing team, is hiring a Marketing Manager to help support the growing requirements with end-to-end responsibilities. The Marketing team is responsible for all consumer-facing communications and supports the Product team’s initiatives and goals, which ultimately delivers on BMO’s business objectives. All communications are to be correct, consistent and compliant.

Works collaboratively with business/group and stakeholders to assess communications needs, recommend communications plans & solutions, secure necessary approvals, and create/deliver communication solutions that effectively support and address communications needs. Sources content and feedback, assesses information and translates thoughts into effective communications solutions. Delivers high quality communications solutions that target audiences can easily access, understand and action that are alignment with company standards.

• Makes recommendations and /or assists in solving problems to ensure communication solutions are implemented.

• Participates in communication strategy development.

• Gathers content from multiple sources and develops communications for various vehicles including leadership messages, intranets, town halls, newsletters, video, presentations and new social media.

• Identifies and liaises with the stakeholders about opportunities for communications to other groups (e.g. customers, media, etc.) to increase communication effectiveness and alignment.

• Supports business/group change management activities from a communications perspective.

Qualifications:

• Typically 4 - 6 years of professional working experience in strategy and campaign management with a marketing role on the brand side or agency side (paid media or events) as the primary client lead. One to two years of work experience in banking/financial institutions, previous experience on New-to-Canada business or personal experience as a newcomer to Canada is an asset.

• Work well under pressure with strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders while ensuring strong attention to detail

• Strong ability to apply research/data/learnings into strategic plans to deliver on business goals (and not just providing data), as well as ability to take technical and complex information and distill it to key messages that make sense for the audience

• Strong English verbal & written communication skills. Ability to read/write/speak Chinese or Indian Languages with business proficiency is an asset.

Customer Service

• Process life insurance applications for Advisor distribution channel in an efficient manner to meet service level standards for New Business
• Issue and settle policy contracts in an efficient manner to meet service and quality level standards
• Address customer services issues according to established parameters, escalating as required to the Manager, New Business for resolution.  Demonstrate sound judgement in the handling of customer interactions and appropriate escalation to management

Corporate Banking Overview:

The CB Summer Analyst program is designed for candidates between their second and third year of an undergraduate school. Summer analysts will gain valuable experience and exposure to a wide number of industries during the 15-week program.  In addition to this on-the-job experience, the program includes the opportunity to network across various business groups, learn about the culture of BMO Capital Markets, participate in training and learning seminars, and obtain career guidance from dedicated mentors.  This position is ideally suited to talented, highly motivated individuals who seek to build a solid, comprehensive foundation in the basic skills of corporate banking. 

Responsibilities:

• Processing client requests (e.g. new credit facilities and extensions and/or amendments to existing credit facilities).
• Completing annual / interim credit reviews.  Credit reviews include industry and financial analysis comprising of: operating performance, cash flow, leverage, coverage and liquidity, as well as capital-at-risk and other regulatory capital calculations.
• Monitoring performance of portfolio companies against credit terms and conditions and identify changes in the financial condition of a client.
• Preparing presentation materials and relationship profitability assessments, which involve liaising with other product and industry groups within BMO Capital Markets. 
• Performing other duties including industry and company-specific research, as well as ad hoc projects for senior professionals.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate business/accounting/finance program graduating in December 2025 or Spring 2026

Job Summary:

The Model Development, Production and Analytics (MDPA) department provides models, strategies, tools, analytics and insights to the business in order to boldly grow while wisely managing risks / returns. As a Senior Manager in the Strategy and Business Management team within MDPA, you will provide services to support the successful delivery and execution of its objectives. The team assists in the setting of strategic priorities, drives the standardization of activities horizontally across groups within the model lifecycle and provides compliance, process improvement and project management services along with mechanisms to track and report upon the completion of initiatives. The team leads the provisioning of a view across MDPA to optimize resources to execute faster and deliver more and also serves as the lead in the communication function to share success stories and support how the MDPA brand is perceived internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in establishing strategic priorities, objectives and key results and in the tracking and follow-up of their progress.
• Lead the preparation of effective notifications and updates, thereby continuing the strong communication of achievements and successes of the team.
• Maintain processes and procedures documents, monitor compliance activities and provide compliance support to broader team and feedback on policies, standards and guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and simplify existing processes and procedures within the Model Lifecycle.

Must haves:

• 10+ years of experience in Risk Management or related supporting functions for financial institutions.
• Advanced degree in business, economics, or a technical or liberal arts field.
• Experience in developing and communicating strategic priorities/plans and in compliance and process improvement for model-related activities.
• Familiarity with the Canadian and US banking landscape and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and strong interaction, relationship building and negotiation capabilities.
• Knowledge of risk models (Market Risk would be an asset) and comfortable in using a variety of software (e.g., Microsoft Office & Visio) and a self-starter in learning additional software tools.

Applies mathematical and statistical methods to financial and risk management problems (e.g. internal controls; enterprise-wide stress testing and scenario analysis; capital modelling; valuations). Through quantitative analytical modelling, identifies important factors to consider for financial disaster and recovery plans. Conducts research and creates tools that use data to develop scenario-based planning and implements complex mathematical models to help the business make better financial and financial decisions (e.g. investments, pricing, etc.), drive innovation and minimize the impact of uncertainty.

• Develops pricing and quantitative risk models for an assigned portfolio e.g. fixed income, corporate credit and loans.
• Monitors risk in strategies and portfolios alongside project managers or functional leads.
• Conducts research and develops tools that use data to make better financial decisions; such as: investments, pricing, etc.
• Applies knowledge of risk assessment and controls along with extensive understanding of industry compliance standards and regulations.
• Identifies ways of mitigating potential risks; recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
• Documents data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation and management of business/group processes.
