Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced penetration tests on networks, web applications, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements. Basic Purpose/ Accountabilities:

Your key responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop and enhance automation framework for real-time transaction processing product.
• Follow agile testing methodologies to ensure quality and consistency of deliveries.
• Manage the maintenance of automation suite and implement planned engineering changes according to agile principles / processes.
• Design, implementation, execution and results analysis, documentation of automated/manual unit, integration, regression, resilience, and performance tests.
• Contribute to QA of delivery of package/changes as per requirements.
• Collaborate with functional experts to develop end-to-end test scenarios.
• Collaborating across partner interfaces for end-to-end testing
• Presentation of QA approach and results in demo sessions
• Experience in handling Non-Functional Testing (Load, performance, etc.)
• Expertise in understanding of client, business and technical requirements and problem-solving skills (analyzes the defects, identify the root-cause, and provide workaround/permanent solution)
• Ability to analyze and identify impact for new enhancements/change requests.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing, development and maintenance of automation test suite, knowledge and hand-on experience in implementing test automation frameworks in the Payments domain.
• Experience in Automation framework (Cucumber, Selenium, Load Runner, Jmeter), programming in VB Script, Java, Python, APIs.
• Hand-on experience in Test standards and procedures, and testing non-functional requirements.
• Knowledge in REST, JSON, XML.
• Knowledge in Query/ Scripting such as SQL basics, shell script.
• Knowledge in Middleware (IBM MQ, Active MQ, JMS).
• Possessing relevant toolset knowledge (JIRA, Confluence, PostMan)
• Experience of working in agile teams
• Communication skills, analytical skills, problem-solving attitude and team player
• Ability to synthesize, visualize and communicate ideas to others, to explain complex topic in simple terms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Programming & Systems Analysis or Science (Computer Studies)

About the team

ByteDance and affiliate are developing the next-generation high-performance analytical database, with a mission to enable efficient and real-time data-driven decision-making on PB-level data sets. The initial product was forked from Clickhouse, after which large re-architecture had been taken place. The product now not only improves the efficiency of Clickhouse but also fits into the elastic cloud-native infrastructure with better scalability and resource utilization. With years of polishment in the internal EB-level scenarios, we are now ready to serve our business partners via various cloud vendors.

What you will be doing:

- Responsible for quality assurance of data and cloud products, and R&D efficiency improvement.

- Participate in product requirements and architecture design reviews, assess the rationality of the overall technical architecture and related testability.

- Ability to identify system risks in an all-around way, and ensure the stability of the systems through functional testing, performance testing, online monitoring, and other testing approaches.

- Build a data quality assurance system to ensure delivery quality and improve delivery efficiency throughout the entire process.

- In-depth understanding of the business, communicate and collaborate with various roles across teams, to create value for the business in an all-round way, without setting boundaries for work.

- Design and perform tests and check cases to determine if infrastructure components, systems and applications meet confidentiality, integrity, authentication, availability, authorisation, and nonrepudiation standards.

- Translate requirements into test plan, write and execute test scripts or codes in line with standards and procedures to determine vulnerability to attacks.

- Certify infrastructure components, systems and applications that meet security standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree or above, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, and other related majors

- At least 3 years of data testing experience

- At least 2 years of experience in managing a team

- 2 years experience in one or several of the following programming languages: C/C++/ Java / Go/ PHP/Linux shell/ Python.

- Solid understanding of distributed systems

- 2 years experience with UI and API automation testing and framework.

- 2 years experience in common big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.

- 2 years experience in testing high-traffic distributed systems, and cloud-related products.

- Sensitive to data, with good logical thinking ability, analytical ability, troubleshooting skills, and business understanding ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5 years of data testing experience

- 5 years of experience in managing a team

- 5 years experience in one or several of the following programming languages: C/C++/ Java / Go/ PHP/Linux shell/ Python.
