We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Team. You will be supporting the Quality Assurances for the service in line to the Aseptic Preparation Services Standards, to demonstrate compliance to the professional standards. We operate an unlicensed unit under Section 10 of the Medicines Act, under the supervision of the Accountable Pharmacist, with trained and competency assessed staff, providing injectable and non-injectable Chemotherapy Medicines for administration to named patients. Aseptic Pharmacy Staff ensure products are prepared accurately, documentation is completed and the correct expiry date and storage conditions is provided for injectable medicines ready to administer to patients. We are inspected regularly by local and regional quality assurance teams.

1. To support the Accountable Pharmacist in managing the efficient operation provided by the Quality Assurance Team. To support the Accountable Pharmacist ensuring continuation of service from the supporting QA team as necessary.

4. To support the organisation and prioritization of the workload within Quality Assurance team, always seeking to improve turn-around times in liaison with Accountable Pharmacist.

The IPC team consists of a Deputy Director of IPC, Infection Control Doctor, Specialist Nurses and Practitioners, Risk manager and administrative support.

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic Senior Infection prevention and control practitioner to act as a role model and support deliver our vision of no person being harmed by a preventable infection.

• Act as a specialist practitioner and senior member of the Infection Prevention and Control Team supporting all health care workers, students, external contractors and support services within the organisation and across the health economy.
• Advise on the clinical care of relevant patients and appropriate infection prevention and control practices required to minimise risks of infection to patients, visitors and staff.
• Act as a role model to promote and facilitate high standards of clinical practice. Be a named lead for a division within the organisation and seen as a Senior point of reference in supporting the division’s governance processes.
• To liaise with the key stakeholders to ensure effective, safe utilisation of beds and that patients are placed appropriately in order to minimise the risk of transmitting infection.
• To communicate sensitive information to patients, staff and carers and provide advice and reassurance as appropriate.
• To work with Trust colleagues to improve and maintain standards of contemporary infection prevention practice within the hospital environment and participate in appropriate audit cycles/ quality improvement projects. To identify potential barriers and solutions to enable improvements utilising expertise.
• To contribute and lead in the investigation of health care associated infections, develop thematic analysis and accurate reports to Trust governance meetings including Divisional Quality Meetings and Infection Prevention and Control Committee.

We are currently looking for Quality Assurance Officer to join us on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal role to provide support to the College’s highly successful Quality Assurance Team in the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of all quality cycles, and across all types of College provision (Young People, Apprenticeships, Adult Provision, Higher Education, SEND/RARPA and full cost/commercial). This is an active role involving monitoring of the implementation of systems and processes. The position includes classroom/workplace activity, and supporting staff through contribution to the Learning Walk process.
