As a Manager, Lab Quality, you will be managing a group of medical writers, liaising with other managers, and supporting Global Medical Writing goals and initiatives. Responsibilities:

Curriculum Reform

• Participate as Secretariat team member of the Curriculum Reform Committee (CRC) and its sub-groups and ensuring effective collaboration and implementation of curriculum reforms.

Serving as a primary representative for the Quality Assurance function on project teams, and supporting the R&D/Technical Services, Engineering and Operations areas, you will provide Quality Assurance expertise and guidance to ensure the validation of site products, processes and systems meets customer, business, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Define and support the validation strategy associated with varied site projects covering either Facilities, Utilities, Equipment (FUE) and process or Non-Product Software (NPSW).
• Develop process validation and equipment qualification requirements (IQ, OQ, PQ) as part of design transfer activities.
• Review qualification / validation protocols with responsibility across either Facilities, Utilities & Equipment or Non-Product Software.

To be successful, you will bring previous experience of validation, change control and risk management, in either the FUE or NPSW space, ideally gained within the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry. Your underpinning academic qualifications will likely be in the field of Engineering or a Science, supported by work-based experience in a similar role.  A working knowledge of the Design Control process would be advantageous.  You will also offer knowledge of cGMP, ISO13485, and 21 CFR 820. Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or higher

• Minimum 5 years experience working in the quality assurance or advanced credentials in a quality control processes, quality assurance, or quality system development and maintenance

Job Description

The Poveda lab is seeking a temporary research technician to assist with data collection, sample processing, and specimen management for projects related with seed corn maggot biology and control. The elected candidate will assist in different tasks that allow the identification of sustainable tools for monitoring, controlling, and assessing the risk of this pest in New York State. Primary duties for these projects will include identifying flies on sticky cards, scouring seeds for seed corn maggot damage, preparing materials for the field season, helping set up bioassays, and taking data in the field and the lab. You have to be prepared to work under field conditions, which can vary from extreme cold to heat, for long periods. This is a full time, 39 hour per week position with an anticipated end date of June 16, 2024.

Requirements:

Candidates should have experience related to laboratory, greenhouse, or fieldwork, data entry/management, and the ability to drive a vehicle. Preferred candidates will have experience with insect identification and sustainable management in crops.
