Performs or supervises the emergency suspension of certificates or cancellation of operations specifications. Conducts or directs the reexamination of certificated airmen or recertification of an operator or agency.

Evaluates requests to operate under conditions not previously specified in the airworthiness portion of the operations specifications and approves/disapproves requests providing additional conditions and limitations as needed.

Provides guidance to the assigned air carrier in the development of required maintenance manuals and record keeping systems. Reviews and determines adequacy of manuals associated with the air carrier’s airworthiness programs and revisions. Ensures manuals and revisions comply with regulatory requirements, prescribe safe practices, and furnish clear and specific instructions governing airworthiness programs. Approves operations specifications and amendments.

Determines if the maintenance facilities being established or contract arrangements entered into by air carrier for the purpose of overhaul work, major repairs, alterations, and other maintenance are satisfactory. Reviews changes and negotiates with air carrier management to resolve problems.

Under guidance of the Principal Inspector, directs the inspection and surveillance of the air carrier’s continuous airworthiness program in regard to assigned aircraft fleet assignment(s). Monitors all phases of the air carrier’s airworthiness operation, including the maintenance, engineering, quality control, production control, training, and reliability programs.

Supervises a staff of Air Traffic Control Specialists that is responsible for carrying out air traffic control assignments within a geographic area.

Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinate employees. Sets work priorities and schedules. Approves leave; gives advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Evaluates performance of employees and recommends performance ratings. Position Summary:

• This position is responsible for making sure the services requested by the customers are met. Maintains accurate inventories on supplies needed to service day-old chickens to fulfill customers’ expectations. Will keep up with by product vaccine inventory. Keeps by-product lab clean and organized to comply with sanitation monitoring protocol. Will assist with day one processing and mixing vaccines when needed. Stay until processing department is finished. Manager approval to leave early if processing department isn’t finished.

Position Overview: The Quality Engineer (QE) role is responsible to pro-actively support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Tellico quality management system to ensure a consistently high level of performance within the facility and market segments that we participate.  The scope of the role will include activities spanning supplier quality, internal process control, and customer feedback.  The Quality Engineer will be accountable to help drive continuous improvement through the facility by analyzing quality data, prioritizing opportunities and leading improvement activities throughout the entire operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Pro-actively facilitate the development of Quality Systems to provide consistent inspection and testing to meet company standards of good sound visual quality and functional reliability.
• This role will support both internal and external quality processes.
• Improve processes to reduce common cause variability and eliminate special cause by following Problem Solving techniques such as Six Sigma (DMAIC).

Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The QA Tech position is responsible for performing various tests on materials throughout the manufacturing process, in accordance to client specification.  The QA Tech is also responsible for conducting various audits from work procedures to GMP audits.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

• Follows all Company policies and procedures related to safety-maintains only the highest safety standards by wearing proper PPE, etc.

• Perform tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors;
• Follows procedures for proper handling, labeling, storage and use of chemicals and wastes.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area, in accordance to 5S Standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis;
• Meet normal attendance requirements including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested;
• Support the implementation of: process specifications, statistical process controls, computerized data systems, test cells, training and procedure support.
• Participates on Continuous Improvement teams, conducts audits of the operation and issues corrective actions, follow ups on completion and effectiveness of action.
• Conducts GMP audits and issues report/finding.
• Acts as a leader in QA to ensure:

• Consistency in testing execution and frequency
• Cohesiveness and teamwork among employees
• Consistency in training
• Appropriate use of slow periods to:
• Cross train lab assistants for contingency use.
• Implement growth projects for themselves and lab technicians.

WHAT WE VALUE

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the daily management of all activities of the FSQA department to include food safety programs specification adherence and product quality for products within their assigned facility. In addition, the FSQA Manager will oversee all special projects as assigned, departmental budgets, turnover and safety. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:

• Daily oversight of production practices including raw material receiving requirements; pre-operational and operational sanitation; finished product quality and Food Safety Systems; ensuring all Tyson FSQA policies and procedures are followed
• Monitoring verification and documentation associated with adherence to government regulations
• Developing, implementing and maintaining the HACCP, PCQI, SOP, GMP and SSOP based programs
• Ensuring finished product conforms to customer product and label specifications
• Report product issues and audit results to plant and corporate FSQA, plant management, corporate sales and/or operations
• Interacting with customers and their agents for product showings, plant tours and audits; visits to customer facilities
• Initial product runs and investigation response to quality related customer complaints
• Monitoring microbiological results; conducting bacterial swabs and generating shelf-life environmental graphs
• Performing research and development activities
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining food safety and quality programs and for the selecting, training and managing of FSQA Supervisors and FSQA Technicians
• Facilitating both the Food Safety and Foreign Material teams at the plant
• Completing required internal, regulatory, and customer audits
• Managing Hold Release inventories at plant level in SAP.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in food safety, animal science, natural science, or a related technical field, or equivalent job experience essential to the role.

Experience: 5+ years of industry experience, with 8+ years preferred. Experience with USDA regulated products is preferred, and SAP experience is a plus.

Computer Skills: Proficient in standard computer skills, including spreadsheet generation and template development for effective communication with plant management, corporate FSQA, sales, and operations.

Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to correspond effectively with team members at all levels, from the production line to corporate management.

Special Skills: Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with various facets within the organization and serving as the plant liaison to USDA. HACCP Certified, GFSI Certified, and PCQI Certified are preferred.

Supervisory Skills: 2+ years of direct supervisory experience, with 5+ years preferred.

Travel: Occasional travel, approximately 2-5 trips per year.

This role combines the Design Quality Assurance and the Product Center Manager role. In your role as Design Quality Assurance Expert (m/f/d) you will be working as a part of product development team on new product development or on design changes to ensure product quality and reliability, minimize risk to users and patients. Your assignments

Design Control

• Ensure that all design control deliverables comply with applicable regulatory requirements and design control processes
• Guide engineering and other teams and ensure that design control requirements are being met in an effective manner to achieve quality by design, including those for design verification, validation, specification and procedure development, risk management, and design review
• Provide input to design and manufacturing engineering project DHF deliverables including material specifications, drawings, inspection procedures, and manufacturing procedures, to ensure that the resulting products can be adequately manufactured and tested. Review DHF files for accuracy and completeness and provide guidance on FDA compliance and procedures
• Work independently on high visibility new product development projects; including projects involving multiple technologies and design sites
• Create processes and process improvements to ensure consistent implementation of internal requirements and external regulations and standards

Product Conformity

• Main contact for medical devices marked with the CE-mark with a focus on non-active medical devices for Peritoneal Dialysis
• Ensure that Technical Files are complete and up to date and that essential requirements are met

Post Market Surveillance

• Analyze PMS data and if needed initiate required activities

NC/CAPA

• Acts as a Quality Approver for design control related topics and as a Quality Assignee for system related topics

Your profile

• Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or a similar technical field required, such as medical technology or a technical apprenticeship with further training to be a technician, along with relevant professional experience
• Several years related experience or an advanced degree without experience
• Advanced knowledge of Design Control and Risk Management standards (e.g, ISO13485, IEC 60601 and ISO 14971)
• Advanced knowledge of medical device regulations (e.g. MDR 745/2017, 21CFR820.30, NMPA-Regulation)
• Experience with product or design and development or quality engineering of sterile disposables utilizing various plastic processes such as injection molding and extruding
• Deep understanding of Design Controls and solid engineering expertise that enables them to guide engineering teams
• Experienced with development of design input and traceability through verification and validation V&V activities
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, high engagement on achieving targets and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel national and international
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German
