This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group. The primary purpose of this position is to establish and execute a planned systematic approach of quality assurance for all areas of aircraft maintenance, designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence that aircraft, aircraft systems, munitions, equipment, products or supporting processes conform to technical, safety, work load and customer requirements. The overall objective is to ensure that quality considerations are addressed and requirements achieved for all aircraft maintenance work and support functions to ensure end items perform as intended with reliability. Serves as the primary technical advisory process in the maintenance organization designed to assist maintenance managers. Serves as the Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) for the planning, implementation and execution of a quality assurance program that includes the full range of quality principles, concepts, inspection techniques, surveillance and evaluations related to quality assurance functional programs of all assigned aircraft, aircraft components, aerospace ground equipment, electronic equipment & systems, armament, munitions, engines, associated systems and maintenance personnel from numerous job series, and maintenance disciplines.

Description of Duties:

1. Serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for wing maintenance policy, advising supervisors and employees on both general policy and specific maintenance matters. Makes decisions and recommendations on technical concerns presented by supervisors.

2. Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP): Administers, evaluates, and coordinates a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardization, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance organization, all maintenance disciplines, job series and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs).
a. Executes the evaluation program and accumulates data using Inspection and Evaluation techniques such as Task Evaluations, Quality Verification Inspections, Special Inspections, Personnel Evaluations and Management Inspections.
b. Monitors and assesses the organization's quality program and elements of the program to gauge compliance with directives and established processes.

3. Utilizes data collection techniques and procedures for evaluation, inspection, and audit programs, evaluates the results and determines the appropriate and effective method and format for presentation to higher-level management.

4. Collaborates with the Maintenance Group Commander, Maintenance Squadron Commanders, and Quality Assurance Supervisor to plan, develop, implement, inspect, and report numerous critical compliance issues and review the Configuration Management (CM) programs.

5. Serves as the Aircraft Weight and Balance program manager utilizing complex computer based programs, data bases, electronic weighing apparatus, and integrated weight and balance computers for the Wing to maintain strict accounting of aircraft weight and balance for safe flight operations.

6. Reviews wing depot-level assistance requests developed in accordance with tech orders.

7. Prepares and reviews Product Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) prior to releasing to the Air Logistics Center (ALC) or Aircraft Sustainment Group and performs exhibit-processing oversight by coordinating with ALC and Logistics Readiness Squadron to ensure proper exhibit control and handling.

8. Serves as the authority for determining applicability of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) and One Time Inspections (OTI).

9. Manages the Technical Order Improvement Program and Suggestion Program for the wing.

10. Executes a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) to monitor Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) aircraft or Contract Field Team (CFT).

11. Maintains direct contact with the NGB staff and with counterparts at other ANG bases in order to resolve problems affecting maintenance capabilities and compliance.

12. Manages and conducts quality verification inspections and surveillance inspections of conventional weapons systems and components.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Manages Mission Assurance (MA) Program per DoDI 3020.45 with responsibility for implementation of wing-wide installation response and readiness.
• Coordinate, Draft, Plan, Integrate, and Execute all Mission-Focused Complex Mission Assurance and Readiness Exercises at EAFB.
• Plan and design installation exercises-based on Commanders Intent, to include scenario development.
• Draft Exercise Objectives, Master Scenario Events Lists, Commanders Decision Briefs, rehearsals, Warning Orders (WARNORDS), and Operation Orders (OPORDS).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, All Hazard Threat Assessments/Analysis, along with conducting Mission Analysis Risk Management.
• Responsible for the command and control of exercises through Exercise Control (EXCON), along with assisting the Crisis Action Team (CAT).
• Perform exercise closeout with After Action Reviews (AAR) and archiving exercise documents and developed products to ensure Wing mission requirements and readiness.
• Analyzes data for trends and opportunities for improvement across the organization.
• Assist in Developing a Mission Assurance and Wing Readiness Cross-Walk that depicts Wing readiness and Response Posture.

• Research and apply mathematical, statistical and text analyses using software and in coordination with other analysts, using CRISP-DM/Agile methods.
• Effectively communicate analytical methods and results to teammates and prepare technical documentation around defensible, repeatable, and impactful statistical results.

• Assist with preparation of proposals by outlining the hypothesis, requirements, and potential impact of conducting the analysis.

The primary purpose of this position is: To provide air traffic control (ATC) services to military and civilian aircraft operating in a radar environment using instrument flight rules (IFR) and visual flight rules (VFR) providing for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic. To provide non-radar approach control services in allocated airspace, in the event of radar outages.

This Transportation Security Inspector position is located in Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring security compliance of persons and transportation systems and entities regulated under the Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1500 series. You will perform selected assignments and progressively responsible inspection work such as:

• Conducting less complex inspections or portions of more complex inspections.
• Applying basic technical inspection knowledge acquired in formal core training and on-the-job training (OJT), along with any limited experience gained prior to or after such training.
• Conducting regulatory inspections and investigations, and supporting criminal investigations related to alleged or suspected security violations.
• Responding to security incidents, threats, violations, or potential violations.
• Providing overt and covert presence, including high visibility activities, to detect and reduce identified security threats and vulnerabilities.

As a ASOC Interface & Procedural Control Instructor, GS-2101-11 you will:

Perform the full range of WG-5823-10 duties and responsibilities. Possess the knowledge and skills found at the journey level as well as those required for planning, accomplishing, and maintaining a functional shop maintenance program.

Plan and lay out work to be accomplished in the shop, which is then completed by the incumbent and lower graded mechanic(s). Independently determine appropriate maintenance procedures such as how and when the work should be accomplished. Estimate manpower, equipment and material requirements. Devise and maintain all program plans and records, skilled in surveillance and troubleshooting techniques, and is able to determine maintenance/repair procedures needed without benefit of technical supervisory guidance. Plan, organize and direct shop maintenance programs/procedures under general supervision. Determine approach, methods and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the shop in an effective and efficient manner.

May provide recommendations and input to the supervisor concerning personnel actions such as performance appraisals, awards, position descriptions changes, disciplinary actions, leave, etc. Implement safety regulatory requirements. Ensure that other workers in the shop wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.

• You will conduct on-site audits and surveillance (on ship and within production shops and at off-site vendors) of installation, fabrication and testing activities.
• You will communicate regularly with ships force personnel and Contractor quality assurance/production personnel concerning process/product quality.
• You will consult with SUPSHIP project office personnel and Contractor construction supervisors on quality related matters.
• You will be assigned individual and team responsibilities for complex investigations of quality-related problems within assigned functional area(s).
• You will conduct studies, evaluations and analyses of information to determine possible cause and resolutions of quality problems.

• You will conduct evaluations of the Contractor’s quality procedures and installed/fabricated hardware.

Serves as a Quality Improvement and Infection Control Nurse in the Health Services Department of a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) federal correctional facility.

Manage the local infection prevention and control program under the guidance of the national Infection Prevention and Control Officer, Office of Quality Management, Central Office, Washington, D.C., and performs quality improvement activities to improve health care outcomes.

Performs surveillance of infections and diseases, management of the tuberculosis prevention and control program, contact investigations and containment of infectious disease outbreaks, infection prevention activities including immunization administration and tracking for inmates and staff, education related to infection control practices, collection and analysis of data to reduce risk and improve health outcomes.

Notifies the national Infection Prevention and Control Officer and public health authorities at all levels of government about reportable infectious conditions.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

• Leads the development and production of reports for designated OCOs and conducts research and analysis of critical, high-level issues and topics.
• Develops recommendations based on analyses of complex OCO related issues and authors and coordinates reports and support with client activity.
• Serves as a subject matter authority with the expertise to formulate, draft, merge ideas, concepts, and materials to write/edit reports.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams for project planning and scheduling in support of the report production cycle.
• Chairs internal meetings and participates in external working groups and integrated program teams and conducts expert level research, analysis, counsel, guidance and provides recommendations.
