Applicants must hold an appropriate building services related HNC, or equivalent, preferably with a minimum of 5 years experience within the commercial building services sector, and will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of building services, related plant and engineering trades and techniques. You will be mobile throughout the Council area. Applicants are required to be Gas Safe registered, ideally with commercial installations additional module.

You will liaise with premises managers, and with technical / professional staff within Invest Falkirk to discuss repair works, minor planned budgets and other relevant issues that affect the building services installations within our properties. You will issue detailed repair instructions to both relevant contractors, supervise the standard and timely completion of works, and check and agree invoices prior to payment.

You will have the ability to work under pressure on different projects simultaneously and be able to prepare regular progress reports for Coordinators and managers, whilst ensuring regular attendance at premises.

You will respond to emergency requests for necessary ad-hoc repair works and will arrange for appropriate remedial action to be taken. A formal standby scheme is in operation to cover out of hours emergencies and repairs, and the successful applicant will be required to participate in this scheme.

Falkirk Education Services are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Quality Improvement Manager to lead on Secondary School Quality Improvement and Performance. This post provides an excellent opportunity to provide support and assistance to the newly formed Senior Leadership Team.

You will have the lead strategic role in the development of work streams and activity relating to secondary school and performance improvement. You will have a comprehensive understanding of quality improvement in an education setting. You will have excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills, with an attention to detail. You will work 35 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has become available in the Learning and Quality Team, with the introduction of the new Learning, Teaching and Quality Manager role.

This is a key College role, building on the success of the Learning and Digital Skills academy initiative, to provide operational leadership and management of Learning and Teaching enhancement, whilst driving the Quality focused agenda across the college. In this you will support the enhancement of Learning and Teaching across all curriculum areas whilst leading on the continued quality enhancement and assurance activity of both curriculum and corporate service areas where appropriate.

Working closely with the Head of Learning and Quality, you will have line manager responsibility for a team that supports and develops a range of teaching, learning and quality activities across the college.

Much of your work will be carried out in conjunction with wider college teams developing a range of communities of practice around learning and teaching enhancement whilst also leading on the quality assurance and enhancement across college.

With a degree (or professional equivalent) together with a teaching qualification, you will be a skilled teaching practitioner with strong, in depth knowledge of designing and implementing high quality learning and teaching activities whilst having a thorough understanding of quality assurance in relation to assessment.

As a Production/Control Room Support Operative you will work shift pattern of (2 x 12-hour day shifts and 2 x 12-hour night shifts, then 4 days off). This is subject to change and the annualised hours will be scheduled in line with business requirements.

Your duties and responsibilities as a Production/Control Room Support Operative will include, but not limited to:

• Production of feed to the production plan with minimum stoppage
• Operating the SCADA production system
• Tipping of raw materials to meet production schedules
• General assistance with startup/shutdown/operational process
• Monitor process, machine operations and materials to ensure quality and conformity of the finished product within the client's quality standards
• Adherence to cleaning, hygiene and Company regulations
• Ensure all feed produced is to company quality standards
• Responsible for setting up and managing the bagging line
• Identifying and marking up the product bags with the correct documentation/information
• Hanging the product bags and filling with the appropriate material to the correct weight specifications
• Adherence to Health & Safety procedures and acting as a HSE ambassador
• Operating safe working practices and procedures and always maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the process facility

To be successful you will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience within the Aquaculture/Feed Manufacturing industry proving advantageous. Combined with:

• Previous experience of working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• A valid FLT licence with previous live load FLT experience is essential - FLT level 2 certificate is preferred
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Workday to a basic level
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders
• Must be able to demonstrate basic numerical skills
• Uses own initiative and keen to self-develop and manage own potential

This is a full-time permanent position where your focus will be on ensuring our client's products meet customers' expectations in relation to quality, reliability, safety and delivery. Working as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Ability to read Engineering drawings
• Implement Root Cause Corrective Actions by using the required Quality tools

• Maintain Quality Records; carrying out internal and external audits and generate Audit reports

• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Be computer literate, Microsoft Office Packages and ideally use of Q-Pulse
• Ability to work using own initiative and make decisions on quality standards
• Awareness of Spray-Painting techniques - advantage but not essential
• Be a trained Auditor to ISO9001:2015, minimum Internal Auditing but ideally Lead Auditing
• Experience in use of Quality tools and techniques, would be advantageous. (PPAP, 8D, DFMEA, PFMEA and have a strong problem solving and analytical skillset)
