Additional information:Travel requirements may occasionally involve an overnight stay, so some flexibility in working hours is needed. However, there is no weekend or evening work.

Working as part of the Facilities and Health & Safety Department to complete property inspections to maintain and enhance the condition of their property portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

• Approximately 130 properties across the South West of England. These are pre-dominantly residential properties but also include hostels, retail shops and offices. These properties need to be inspected annually by the Property Inspector, but with support provided by the H&S Officer.
• To provide accurate property inspection reports on the compliance of the property, ensuring that each building meets the applicable safety standards and contributing to maintaining 100% safety and compliance across the portfolio.
• To support with the delivery of training of other members of staff on Property/ Housing Management to help develop this knowledge and these skills across the organisation.
• To maintain and foster good working relationships with key stakeholders: internal teams, residents and landlords.

What you'll need to succeed

• Full valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance and willingness to use for work purpose and travel across the region with occasional overnight visits.
• At least 1 year experience in property management.
• Knowledge on compliance framework for buildings

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

* Develop a strong working relationship with all levels of employees and promote a culture of engagement and an ethos of 'all together better'

* Technical and H&S auditing of field operatives using our auditing systems and processes

* To provide coaching, mentoring and support to action owners, and provide authoritative advice on the close out of actions

* To assist the Lead Technical Auditor in the delivery of health and safety initiatives throughout the group

* To assist the Lead Technical Auditor in developing processes, procedures, forms and documents as required

* Use company systems to find and report on compliance

* To provide support and guidance to operational managers with regards to forms, templates and accurate completion of any required HSEQ information, such as during incident investigation

* Provide support and guidance to field operatives as required

* To provide concise, factual and accurate information through status reports to the Lead Technical Auditor ensuring all information is available to enable effective decisions and improvements to be made

* To carry out a skills assessment and specific audits on all newly joined engineers

* Keep up to date with changes to trade and health and safety legislation

* Assist operational managers with training/ testing of operatives for safety compliance, such as face-fit, safe isolation, etc.

* All other duties within your level of competence, as directed by your line manager

Qualifications and Training

• Conversant with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Teams etc)
• Current Gas (CCN1, Cenwat, Htrs, Ckrs) - Essential
• Current Oil (101, 105e, 600a) -Willing to work towards
• Commercial Gas (CoDNCO1, CDGA1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1a, TPCP1) -Willing to work towards IOSH Managing Safely - Willing to work towards Fire Warden -
• Wiling to work towards 1 st Aid Trained -

Experience & Skills

• Experience in issuing, following up and closing corrective actions
• Experience in dealing with external auditors
• Experience of working and communicating with a diverse range of people
• Experience of writing and presenting reports
• Knowledge and experience of operational activities within Gas Electrical and Construction industries
• Management of health and safety on site
• Computer literate Meticulous attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and to take responsibility for own tasks
• Able to organise own workload and prioritise tasks effectively
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels
• Hold a current valid driving license
