This Supervisory Transportation Security Inspector (Cyber) position is located in Region 3, Surface Operations, Security Operations (SO), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:
- Implements programs to ensure surface transportation system owners and operators are aware of, understand, and adhere to TSA, government and industry introduced standards and recommendations.
- Implements cybersecurity outreach and oversight programs through engagement activities and resources to increase agency and operator efficiencies.
- Ensures the implementation of cybersecurity measures and controls that safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information system assets.
- Uses expert technical knowledge and experience along with judgment and discretion in applying standard inspection methods and techniques (e.g., surveillance, interview, document review, and testing).
- Leads local stakeholder implementation of cybersecurity measures and controls that safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of operational technology and industrial control system assets.
Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period Requirements: Unless previously completed, you must satisfactorily complete a one-year supervisory probationary period to continue in this supervisory/managerial position.
