Hardware Manufacturing Customer Experience Quality Engineering position

• Develops and applies quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements. Develops and conducts related tests.
• Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/ or production equipment.
• Develops methods and parameters, project methodology and/ or project proposals.
• Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results.
• Develops and uses procedures.  Prepares documentation for inspection/ testing procedures. Recommends corrective action for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
• Analyze operational data – extensive analysis (~15% /week as needed) with Excel (Pivot and VLOOKUP) and Power BI; Develop and implement recommendations based on Field NC data analysis.  
• Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies. Tracks progress of qualification status, reviews reliability test results, determines disposition of non-compliant products, reviews and releases qualification packs

• Reduces qualification cycle time and cost while still meeting quality performance requirements. 
• Responsible for driving Continuous Improvement in the Quality of AMAT’s product portfolio
• Eliminate customer complaints and escalations. Participates in and may lead audits. 
• Work and demonstrate ability to closely lead multi-functional teams including but not limited to: experienced design and development engineers, Quality and Reliability engineers, Supply Chain Management teams, suppliers and technology partners in order to acquire and implement best known methodologies and deliver a better quality and customer experience than in current portfolio.
• Monitor field customer performance of product to identify issues and allow for early investigation and mitigation
• Drive investigation, capture, Root Cause Analysis, Containment, Corrective Action, Process Improvement to prevent issue recurrence, Monitor plans using statistical methods
• Conduct Quality Post-Mortem and document lessons learned reviews from current and older products to prevent recurrence of Quality issues and drive corrective actions into the next generation product portfolio

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Senior Specialist IT Product Security reports to the Cybersecurity Lead, and works closely with the application development and quality control teams, playing a critical role in the software development lifecycle of our web and mobile applications.

As a Senior Specialist IT Product Security, you demonstrate strong analytical, methodical problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and use these skills to design and implement security test plans and automation, and to support our software development from a security perspective.

The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about guiding the United States Military to make informed decisions? The right data is integral to making the most informed decisions. We’re looking for you, a mission-focused analyst to assist the United States Air Force to develop its communication network and modernization strategies in support of Multi-Domain Command and Control priorities.

You will provide strategic direction, strategy, and cross coordination with Air Force and warfighting initiatives. You will provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements. You will provide expertise in change management. You will provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments. You will assist with problem solving techniques, and strategic guidance in support of Air Force mission areas including Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2), Multi-Domain Command and Control, tactical radios, airborne data links, cryptography modernization, wargaming requirements, and processes. You will leverage expertise and experience to support the client with Air, Space, and Cyberspace operations, analyze policy and doctrine and translate needs statements, requirements, and courses of action. Brief and field questions from DoD, military stakeholders, and senior leaders.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience in a professional work environment
• Experience with customer and client relationship management
• Experience with DoD and military headquarters organizations and functions
• Experience with DoD or government headquarters cyberspace organizations
• Experience in briefing and fielding questions from DoD, military stakeholders, and senior leaders
• Experience in interacting with external peer and subordinate organizations
• Experience in strategy and policy drafting, implementation, and execution
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. • Conducts visual and measurement inspections on incoming and in-process materials. Confirms quality and specifications, communicates required adjustments, and rejects and returns unacceptable materials as necessary.
• Reads blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
• Measures product dimensions, examines functionality, and compares the final product to the specifications.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests. Returns products for re-work if needed and completes documentation to confirm re-work.
• Documents and updates inspection results by completing reports and logs.
• Ensures measurement equipment is operating correctly by adhering to all operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Looks for opportunities to adjust and improve production processes and procedures.
• Informs supervisor when quality issues and concerns arise.
• Assists the supervisor, as needed, with various audits and compliance projects.

Responsibilities:

• Performs routine final inspection testing for product release utilizing required instrumentation.

• Timely testing of product in order to support manufacturing and product release.

• Testing and paperwork is completed accurately.

• Performs daily chart review and approval on production in-process forms and review of final inspection forms.

• Compiles data and prepares testing reports as required.

• Operates final inspection equipment that includes; pull force tester, leak tester, OAL gauge, direct weight scale, 10X microscope, and particulate sampling.

• Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping practices in the area.

• Disposes of waste in compliance with safety and environmental procedures.

• Participates in product analysis activities for audit reports, capability studies, Experimental Work Orders and Validations.

• Able to work accurately with limited supervision.

• Accepts responsibilities and can communicate effectively with supervision, co-workers, and production.

• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED

• Ability to speak, read and write English

• Associates currently in role and trained preferred

• Two years' experience in an automated manufacturing environment (preferably medical device manufacturing).

• Two years’ Quality experience preferred

• SAP experience preferred

• Use of measurement devices and quality records preferred.
