• Collate, analyse, evaluate and sign-off data to produce good quality information and traceable records under the direction of the project lead.
• Presentation of results in written and oral reports.
• Work closely with other groups within R&D to deliver solutions or improvements in recombinant protein expression (in particular with R&D Process Development, Microbial Expression & Protein Analytics)
• Actively keep abreast of relevant academic literature (e.g., in the field of cell engineering and expression technologies).

Candidate Requirements:

• BSc/MSc Degree in Life Sciences / Science/ Molecular Biology
• Practical experience within in an industrial/academic setting is desirable.
• Good technical background in molecular biology (electrophoresis, PCR, vector construction) and cell culture (preferably mammalian cells) with the aim of developing or manipulating mammalian expression systems.
• Clear demonstration of strong technical skills, scientific execution and data analysis.

The role

• Support the production, quality and technical departments in testing and inspection of Components, Raw materials, manufacturing processes and equipment
• Perform process reviews on manufacturing processes
• Analysis of components and sub-assemblies to Internal and External requirements
• Perform in-house product testing and random sampling to confirm specifications are correct
• Working with cleanroom leaders to ensure equipment is checked before and after use
• Review and update Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other technical/process documentation
• Assist in problem solving, root cause analysis and risk assessments
• Getting involved with Non-conformance reports (NCR), Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) activities
• Occasionally travelling to other Kimal sites and to suppliers

Key Skills

• Experience in a process engineering, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar role.
• Experience in a manufacturing sector
• Knowledge of production processes and quality control methods
• Understanding of industry regulations and standards
• Experience with product inspectios and compliance testing

Your new role
It is an essential part of the facilities and maintenance team as it is imperative that the compliance checks around the campus are kept in order and up to date to ensure complete safety. These checks would include PAT testing, Legionella testing, Emergency light testing, fire alarm testing, fire extinguishers etc.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a good team player attitude whilst having experience in doing some of the above checks, or a desire to become knowledgeable around the above checks. You will need to be IT literate for this position.

This system-facing role will provide senior nursing leadership in the following areas:
• Provides senior nursing and midwifery support and guidance in an advisory or supervisory capacity to frontline staff
• Supports quality improvement, surveillance and assurance, including safety, safeguarding and patient experience
• Supporting clinical sustainability
• Driving improvements in priority areas of the long-term plan, directors of nursing and infection, prevention and control nurses.

This post is a clinical post to be filled by a candidate with a nursing or midwifery qualification & extensive experience as a nurse, midwife or health visitor and current registration with the NMC. The postholder will be expected to deputise for the Regional Chief Nurse.

Working in collaboration with relevant colleagues, they will take regional leadership responsibility in one or more of the following areas: patient safety, assurance and organisational improvement and supporting the delivery of national priorities e.g. the Long Term Plan.

The post holder will play a key role managing the overarching quality framework within the region and ensure that Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), including constituent organisations, have a clear and consistent focus on quality, quality improvement and related nursing/ midwifery matters.

The post holder will act in accordance with the statutory and regulatory frameworks of NHS Improvement and NHS England.

• Providing system leadership and clinical improvement advice to support local healthcare system resilience with a focus on positive outcomes and overall quality and safety of patient care.
• Working with other nursing and clinical colleagues, determine clinical support for trusts in the recovery support programme for reasons of quality (and ‘challenged’ trusts that are at risk of entering the programme) to ensure that trusts receive the necessary support to improve quality.
• The Director of Nursing – Quality and Leadership will take the lead on initiatives identified by the Regional Directors and through personal action and professional leadership shape and develop a culture of continuous service improvement that benefits patients.
• Operating in a matrix fashion, the post holder will utilise specialists, and bring their clinical expertise, senior nursing experience and knowledge to bear across the organisation to ensure clinical engagement and coordination is at the heart of the assurance and improvement roles.
• The post holder, as a member of the senior nursing and midwifery team, will support the Chief Nurse to deliver the objectives of the region.
