Responsibilities
* Ensure food safety and quality objectives are always met
* Responsible for covering all the areas (Low Risk/High Care) as per rota
* Review out of specification results and implementing corrective actions
* Investigating customer complaints
* Responsible for maintaining WIP, raw material and finished product specifications
* Ensure that GMP standards are maintained within all areas of the company and that all current legislation, all systems, and procedures are adhered too.
* Auditing all production paperwork daily according to BRC/Customer requirements
* Verify all production paperwork on daily basis and conduct traceability as requested
* Implement operational changes with technical guidelines
* Take actions for non-conformances which are rectified in relations to laid down systems and procedures.
* Provide training to operational staff as and when required
* Assist with new product development, sample preparation, production trials, DAF plant monitoring and taste panel as required

Your new role
The Supplier Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for handling supplier non-conformances, measuring and analyzing quality data, driving quality and improvements using problem solving process (PSP) and other tools. You will support the Quality Manager ensuring that the quality of purchased items meets documented standards. Improve supplier quality performance and work with purchasing to approve new suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have 2+ years of Supplier Quality experience within a manufacturing industry is required. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls. Experience supplier and internal auditor. Experience using tools such as Control Plans, FMEA's, PPAP and communicating advanced quality concepts both internally and externally. Highly analytical, with a clear, logical understanding of problem-solving including Root Cause, Corrective Action, Counter Measures, Problem Solving Plans (PSP) and Action Plan development and execution. Ability to Interpret Electrical and mechanical drawings. Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
