This Transportation Security Inspector position is located in Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring security compliance of persons and transportation systems and entities regulated under the Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1500 series. You will perform selected assignments and progressively responsible inspection work such as:

• Conducting less complex inspections or portions of more complex inspections.
• Applying basic technical inspection knowledge acquired in formal core training and on-the-job training (OJT), along with any limited experience gained prior to or after such training.
• Conducting regulatory inspections and investigations, and supporting criminal investigations related to alleged or suspected security violations.
• Responding to security incidents, threats, violations, or potential violations.
• Providing overt and covert presence, including high visibility activities, to detect and reduce identified security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Participating in covert and overt test and audits, as well as vulnerability assessments.
• Reviewing and analyzing assessment reports and testing results with specific attention to identifying unusual trends or actions that appear to have the potential for developing a security or safety problem.

Note: This work is observed and reviewed frequently during inspections and at completion for technical accuracy, application of inspection methods and techniques, and oral and written effectiveness and clarity. If selected, you will perform work in one or more specialty areas for which hired (aviation and/or cargo). The duties of this position are performed under close supervision and guidance.

SGS is looking for Water Quality Analysts, responsible for the organisation and completion of required field work in the Pilbara region and surrounding areas.

This is a FIFO role on an 8/6 roster, Thursday to Thursday to Newman.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Collect water samples according to Australian Standards, including Potable Water, Waste Water, Sewage Water, Soil and Hygiene, for testing against regulatory guidelines such as the Australian Drinking Water Guideline.
• Perform field tests to ensure results are within water quality acceptance criteria, and to report anomalies immediately to the Project Coordinator/Client as directed.
• Prepare daily field reports and ensure they are submitted within 24hours of sampling.
• Arrange all field consumables, sampling media and equipment as required for each job.
• Prepare Job Safety Analysis’ (JSA’s) and risk assessments as required for each allocated job.

We are currently seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive dealer in Southend on Sea. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles through conducting MOT tests in compliance with regulatory standards.

Duties:
- Perform MOT tests on vehicles according to DVSA guidelines
- Identify and report any vehicle defects or issues that may affect its safety
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to carry out inspections
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed during the testing process
- Maintain accurate records of test results and vehicle information

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role
- Valid MOT Tester certification
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
