HEAD OF FINANCIAL REPORTING & CONTROL| HIGH WYCOMBE
We’re looking for an incredible Head of Financial Reporting & Control join our Finance team. We are looking for someone with energy to lead, build and improve in all that they are involved in.
You’ll ensure the financial integrity of the business in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, planning, analysis and partnership in decision making covering all Costs and related KPI measures whilst maintaining strong financial controls. You will also play a key part in our finance transformation strategy, leading projects and driving a culture of business process improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Financial Reporting & Control:
· Assume leadership of a dedicated team overseeing the accounting, reporting and reconciliation of business costs and balance sheet accounts.
· Champion a strong cost control ethos and improve visibility and analysis of key costs to allow for more effective management and business decisions.
· Deliver consolidated group accounts monthly and extended reporting package quarterly
· Lead on statutory account process
· Responsible for ensuring tax compliance (Corporation and deferred Tax, SAO, VAT, Customs)
· Internal and external audit lead.
Operational Control
· Responsibility for the Accounts Payable/Receivable and Cash teams, overseeing the teams and signing off on key control areas, setting, reviewing and challenging the KPI’s
· Strong Balance Sheet and Cash Flow management, regular reviews, scenario analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Business partnering
· Drive a strong business partnering ethos in the team, leading by example and sponsoring initiatives within the Senior Management Team to drive a data decision making culture.
· Build strong relationships, Internally, ASW Group, Legal, Tax and Audit partners.
Business improvements
· Champion and drive a strategy to drive a more efficient and data-driven department.
· Take charge of project delivery within established deadlines, collaborating closely with the relevant teams.
People Management and Development
· Lead and develop team to drive growth and performance, setting clear and achievable objectives and ensure development plans are in place.
· Drive team engagement and ensure a high level of service is delivered within the business.
· Influential in supporting Finance Director in driving and managing change in the department.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
· You will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA preferred) with strong consolidated accounts and IFRS experience.
· Strong background in financial reporting and controls
· Experienced in statutory accounts preparation and review.
· Experienced in corporation tax and VAT preparation review.
· You’ll enjoy continuous improvement and be curious to develop what is currently in place.
