We have an exciting secondment opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our North Adult Acute In-patient management team as a Clinical Quality Assurance Manager for 12 months.
You will provide robust, consistent, practical and evidence-based day-to-day clinical and operational leadership and management support on George Ward and Eden Acute Ward.
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. However, you may be required to do some nights and weekends to give you greater insights into the clinical and operational challenges across the North Inpatient Wards.

The Compliance Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and completing rigorous audits/inspections and follows up across Shaw healthcare settings that are registered with the national regulators.

Safeguarding Whilst in post, Staff are expected to acquire and update their knowledge on safeguarding as per the Intercollegiate document requirements. Training must include knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties.

Providing expert governance advice, resource and support Developing the organisational governance framework Incident identification, incident closure, quality control, incident themes and trends Working with the operational teams on training resource development and delivery Collation and presentation of patient safety performance data, analysis of themes and trends Working with the Managing Director, the Nominated Individual for CQC and the CQC Registered Manager to liaise with CQC and provide information requests, coordinate CQC inspections or visits, and develop CQC compliance tools Supporting implementation of the National Patient Safety Strategy Providing oversight and co-ordination of patient safety alerts Reviewing all safety information to gain better understanding of safety of care Finding innovative ways of helping the organisation to learn from incidents Liaising with colleagues across the organisation with overall aim of ensuring that the company delivers the highest quality of patient care across all its services (whether regulated by the CQC or not) Acting as Information Governance Lead for the organisation representing the company on the cross-Group IG governance meeting. Acting as first point of contact for any information governance/data protection issues within the organisation and liaising with the Group DPO and information governance lead as required. Maintaining the organisational log of key patient safety roles (CQC Registered Manager, Caldicott Guardian etc) Manage H&S provision including statutory notification responsibilities. Working with the HR team on professional competence, registration, DBS etc
