The Role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a Project Quality team that sits within the Programme Delivery Team, to support the delivery of one of our most important contracts on time, to the right quality and to the planned cost.
Day-to-day, you'll provide advice, guidance and support to the business on all matters related to quality, ensuring outputs meet customer and regulatory requirements in a timely manner.
- Represent the customer's interests and help to maintain the open and collaborative relationship we have.
- Provide quality input and advice through the project lifecycle.
- Identify quality risk and work to mitigate, manage and escalate issues to programme leadership.
- Manage non-conformance process, driving root cause analysis and prevention where appropriate.
- Oversee progress and sign-off the delivery process to give the customer assurance their requirements have been met.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the onsite and 3 days working from home. However, you will be required to be onsite more days if needed.
Essential Experience of the Senior Quality Engineer
- A proficient quality assurance engineer with experience in a related industry and be familiar with how quality applies throughout a product or service delivery lifecycle.
- Previous experience of a customer-facing role.
- Experience of implementing quality improvements and encouraging culture change within a team or organisation.
- Experience of auditing quality ISO9001 management systems.
- An excellent working knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving techniques, and be able to provide guidance to others in their use (e.g. Pareto, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 5 why's, 8D, etc.)
Qualifications for the Senior Quality Engineer
- Membership of a recognised quality institute e.g. CQI would be desirable.
- ISO 9001 auditor preferable but training can be provided.
- ONC, HNC or NVQ Level 3 qualification in a quality, science, engineering discipline.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
