A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
To supervise & undertake decontamination duties in a busy NHS Hospital Sterile service department, assist managers and be part of team that provides a specialized decontamination of medical devices, contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
The post holder will ensure that the service is provided efficiently and in accordance with the department’s policies, procedures, and Quality Management System.
The post holder will contribute fully as part of the HSDU team to the full compliance of the department to Medical Devices Regulations - UK MDR 2002 and EN ISO 13485:2016.
T To supervise a team in the HSDU to ensure the daily team objectives are achieved.Ensuring receipt, disassembly, cleaning reassembly, packing, sterilisation & Portering of reusable medical devices, surgical instruments, and other complex medical equipment in accordance with policies and procedures in line with Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems.
