Major Duties:
- This position requires a close and confidential working relationship with the Regional Director as well as the responsibility and oversight of the administrative/customer service functions provided by the district offices throughout the region.
- Serves as the Staff Assistant to the Regional Director (RD) and assists with ensuring that the practices and procedures used by support staff, in subordinate offices, are consistent with those of the RD's office.
- Ensures administrative/customer service practices and procedures used by district offices are consistent with the viewpoints, policies, and priorities of the RD and the agency as a whole.
- Participates in studies of administrative/customer service work processes throughout the district offices to help identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems in the procedures, processes, and workload distribution.
- Reviews and recommends changes and guidance with management input on techniques to improve the region's overall administrative services and functions to ensure the customer-based expectations comply with departmental and agency expectations and goals.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate document control systems with correspondence of high-level government officials, stakeholders, special projects, commitments, and other subjects of special interest.
