About the Role Base Location: You will be based in one of our UK Training Centres at Thatcham or Perth
Salary: £44,195 - £50,611 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As an Internal Quality Assurance Verifier, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the quality assurance of training and assessments within our training centres, overseeing externally accredited qualifications such as Streetworks (NRSWA) Training and technical apprenticeships. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Coordinating and monitoring assessments carried out at our training centres and other business locations ensuring that the qualification scheme and awarding body requirements are implemented consistently by the assessment teams.
- Maintaining accurate reports and records of verification activity to allow for auditing by the external verifier and providing appropriate information and records to the external verifier to demonstrate that the quality assurance requirements of the awards are met.
- Liaising with awarding body external verifiers and auditors in maintaining accreditation as an approved provider of training and assessment for the centre fulfilling the role of centre coordinator.
- Arranging assessor standardisation reviews and observations as well as maintaining records of standardisation evidence for external verification.
- Supporting in the development of and ensure compliance with assessment plans and procedures for the completion of power apprenticeship End Point Assessments with evidence collated for external review panels or auditors. You will work with the technical training managers to implement and maintain the same standards of compliance for internally awarded certifications, as for externally accredited qualifications.
What do I need? As Internal Quality Assurance Verifier, you'll need to have sufficient occupational and technical competence to carry out the role and be confirmed as competent by any associated awarding bodys external verifier. You'll be able to operate within the safety culture and values of SSE and be able to promote these across the team so good communication skills are essential. You'll have good technical knowledge that can support the assessing and verification process for all required qualifications and be flexible to travel regularly within the UK to our delivery locations to monitor training and assessment activity.
To be considered for this role, we would also love you to have:
- Vocational experience working within the Power or Utilities Sector, including working on the highway.
- Experience in quality assurance and verification of accredited qualifications including auditing.
- Hold or be working towards a Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training as well as NRSWA Supervisor Units.
- Proficiency in the use of IT equipment and Microsoft packages to maintain records and produce reports with a focus on sustainable ways of working to maximise the use of digital systems.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team, adapting to a changing workload and be able to prioritise tasks effectively.
