Job Summary:

As a Quality Systems Technician your responsibilities will include:

Responsible of conducting internal audits in an organisation. Plan and lead training, root cause analysis and resolution of non-conformance. Demonstrate technical understanding of manufacturing processes, its risk analysis and control plans. When needed help conduct Product Quality Council, pull together presentation of management review etc. Also conduct other QMS related activities needed to perform QMS processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the knowledge of relevant requirements based on internal changes
• Able to perform audits with process based approach and risk based thinking
• Initiate, approve and monitor corrective actions associated with the audit findings
• Own and maintain audit plan/schedule document and audit records
• Plan, perform and lead different QMS audits per ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 and issue OFIs and Non-Conformance as needed
• Participate in supporting, implementing, auditing and one-on-one training for AIAG Core Tools

Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced workshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Workshop Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:


Examine assigned vehicles to determine if safety or service work is required.
Document all work recommended on assigned repair order
Conduct road test to determine work needed.
Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on the vehicle
Assist and help fellow technicians in the shop with vehicle diagnosis
Other ad-hoc bookings


To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:


Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Inspector or Technician
Full UK Driving Licence with ability to drive both manual and automatic cars
You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required

A client within the Public Sector based in Northampton is currently recruiting for Building Control Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to conduct site surveys to establish construction is in compliance with the building Regulations and allied legislation.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Pre application advice to both building professionals and non-professionals.
• Plan appraisal of all industrial, commercial and residential applications, to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Negotiate with applicants and/or their agents to bring about amendments/improvements to their applications, resulting in an approval being issued.
• Issue Building Regulation approvals and/or rejections.
• Record all site inspections and plan vetting details in a manner which will limit liability upon the Council in accordance with the Building Control Performance Standards.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require to have extensive knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations and ancillary legislation as well as be a minimum Class 2 registered building inspector.

It will be essential to be in experiences in the below:

• Consult with statutory authorities and other government bodies.
• Check complex structural, thermal and acoustic calculations relating to industrial, commercial and domestic buildings.
• Ensure that enquiries relating to Building Control are dealt with expeditiously, efficiently and with courtesy.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £40 - £60 per hour Umbrella Ltd.
