Purpose of the role The post holder with work as part of the Quality Governance Team supporting the delivery of effective systems and processes for: handling and management of complaints and PALs concerns; supporting the sharing and learning from patient safety events; providing and coordination administrative services, including the preparation of agendas, minutes of meetings and taking appropriate follow-up action as required; and maintaining accurate records and supporting the collation and provision of insight to the wider quality team and organisation. Key responsibilities of the role Provides a front of house service to complainants, service providers and all stakeholders. Oversee standardised elements of the complaints and concerns process including acknowledgement, consent, records management. To provide a professional and compassionate response to telephone or in person callers, providing non-clinical advice and / or information, signposting to other services where required. Have a working knowledge of the NHS Complaints Regulations and procedures. To exercise initiative in responding to complaints and PALs concerns, sending complaints over to providers for investigation, providing a point of contact for individuals ensuring regular updates throughout the process. Work alongside providers to facilitate early resolution to PALS concerns where possible. Handling and coordinating the reporting and sharing of patient safety events / significant event audits (SEA) between providers. Facilitating the identification of themes and trends, and sharing learning across the system. To provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative support to the quality governance (patient experience, patient safety and clinical governance) function as required. To administer associated systems and databases to support quality governance process. To take concise and accurate records of meetings, producing minutes, notes or action notes in a timely fashion, following up action points where appropriate To arrange and organise meetings both internally and with other organisations, often with a number of senior managers and Directors in attendance To arrange multi-organisational events and team meetings To effectively manage both your own and shared inbox emails, ensuring timescales, report requirements, deadlines etc. are noted and met. To support with the production of papers and other documents in a timely fashion for team, corporate or system meetings as required. To collect analyse and summarise data and information to support the quality functions and wider programmes of work, producing activity and insight reports as required. To create and maintain spreadsheets and databases to support the management of the quality governance functions. Promote the ethos of continuous quality improvement within the team and wider organisation, seeking opportunities to improve the efficiencies of systems and processes within the quality governance function. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect aircraft components, ground support equipment and raw material.
• Support customer initiatives with suppliers and provide inspection / audit functions at suppliers or vendors premises.
• Inspect products at goods receipt following customer's inspection plans.
• Raise Quality notifications for non-conforming product.
• Re-inspect and re-life items which have expired current stock life limits.
• Perform despatch inspections to customer or contractual requirements.
• Perform departmental procedure reviews.
• To use relevant inspection tools, software, drawings & models.
• Support the resolving of Quality notifications.
• Engage with customer and supplier representatives and the customer's quality department.
• Operate the customers SAP system
• Training of colleagues.
• Checking inspection tooling is calibrated and instigating re-calibration if required.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• A relevant 4 year engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Competent in interpreting engineering drawings.
• Principles of machining and assembly techniques.
• Understanding of NDT processes and techniques.
• Understanding of treatments applied to raw material.
• Understanding concession process.
• Familiar with unqualified, interim and fully qualified components in relation to aircraft production.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective dialogue with customers both internal and external.

About Lufton College:

Lufton College is a 52-week residential specialist college providing quality care and education for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 with a diagnosis of autism, or whose difficulties place them on the autistic continuum. Our students often have complex needs, associated learning difficulties and behaviours of concern. Our curriculum has been devised to prepare our students for adulthood and to equip them with the skills and knowledge to achieve their personal best in adult life. This is delivered in a variety of settings, including within students’ homes, vocational placements both internally and externally. As well as learning within in the classrooms, our young people take part in various outdoor activities such as animal therapy and various activities based around nature throughout the college sites.
