As a Control Centre Assistant, you will work as a member of a large team in both Reception and Control Room within a high secure Hospital. You will operate a variety of complex access and egress systems which will contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, contractors and staff. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of working in a people orientated environment within a secure setting. You will provide a front facing service offering information and advice to a wide range of customers with different needs hospital staff, contractors, professional and social visitors in challenging situations. You will be required to work as part of a flexible team working shifts over a 24 day, 365 days per year which will include weekend, bank holiday and night working. You will provide a reception and security service to the Hospital, operate specific security systems and equipment within the Entry Building in both Reception and Control Room, including-X-Ray machinesMetal detection equipmentMicrosearch electronic heartbeat detector system for Vehicle searches.Operation of the Visitor, Contractor and Staff computerised access systems.You will carry out searching of staff, patients, contractors and visitors, both persons and property as instructed by a Team Leader.Operating the digital radio system, monitoring CCTV.You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills as well as being highly motivated and willing to adopt a flexible approach to working practice. About the role
To implement and enforce the requirements of the Building Regulations and Associated Legislation in an effective and efficient manner, both in an office and site environment, dealing with a varied and heavy workload, so as to ensure that Statutory Requirements are met.

Responsibilities
To make a positive contribution to Building Control, in particular the following:

• To maintain registration as a Registered Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator to a competency level no lower than Class 2a.
• To be responsible for and to manage their own work in consultation with the Senior/Principal Building Control Officer, ensuring that the services provided are delivered effectively and efficiently.
• To contribute to the overall performance of the Section by assisting in the preparation, implementation and review of the Section Delivery Plan to maintain and improve service delivery.
• To actively contribute to the performance targets and outcomes of the Section and to meet personal targets in order to assist the Council in meeting its requirements to deliver the Community and Council Plans.
• To maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of appropriate legislation, the Building Regulations and Approved Documents, Government Guidance and Circulars, British Standards, approved Codes of Practice and Best Practice Technical Guidance necessary for the performance of the Post holder, the team(s) and the Section, and to update knowledge relating to e-planning and on-line services and be committed to undertake a process of continuous learning and development.
• To undertake training and education, as identified in conjunction with the Section Manager, with a commitment to obtaining appropriate qualifications and membership of Professional Organisations relevant to the post, and to further develop their knowledge and expertise as required.
• To determine submitted applications for compliance with the Building Regulations and Associated Legislation including carrying out all necessary consultations with internal and external Consultees, liaison with agents and applicants and all other associated works necessary, including keeping appropriate records, so as to enable a decision to be made on the Application within Statutory time limits.
• To undertake, in a safe manner complying with all necessary Health and Safety requirements, site Inspections as appropriate so as to ensure constructed works are in compliance with Statutory Legislation and Guidance and to undertake associated administration.

Requirements

• Possession of, or studying towards, a University Degree or equivalent in a building related subject and be able to progress to full membership of RICS, CIOB or CABE
• To be a Registered Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator to a competency level no lower than Class 2a.

Knowledge

• Ability to undertake site inspections in an effective and efficient manner, so as to be able to verify constructional compliance.
• Ability to demonstrate an expertise in all aspects of Building Control and its operational function.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of national and regional Building Control issues

Quality controllers wanted for our clients food production firm based out of Bilsthorpe.

As a quality controller you will be responsible for overseeing the standards, hygine and quality of products are meeting the companies standards. To do this you will perform daily checks using the house app and will conduct checks such as torque tests and product weight checking. You will work closely with the site manager and production manager.

You must have relevant experience to be successfull in your application. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record with quality control.

Permanent

Monday to Friday (40hrs week) with 06:30 start times. Overtime is also available.

Your basic rate of pay willl be £12.74 plus 28 days holiday pro rata.
