Your new role
As QualitySystems & Safety Management System Manager you will be required to provide leadership and direction for the Quality Systems team, and to the wider factory of product safety issues. The supplier Quality Manager will work closely with the wider Quality team to drive improvement in our quality system, maintain regulatory approval, and with the implementation of a safety management system in the organisation. As a Level 2 manager within the business the post holder will be expected to work closely with the wider Level 2 team to achieve business objectives. You will lead and direct team activities focusing on, any system updates due to regulatory changes or recurring themes within the business, Internal audit programme to fulfil regulatory requirements, and use the audit programme to drive continuous improvement in the organisation, implement and develop a world class safety management system to support the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Engineering or technical degree
• Safety Management experience including Human Factors
• Knowledge of accident/incident occurrence investigation and hazard identification and risk analysis
• Experience with problem solving and root cause analysis methodologies
• Significant experience of Quality Systems, including 21g, 145, safety management system, AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements

5+ years' success in a Quality system position with a 3+ years' successful experience in a quality leadership

• Experience working with customers, regulators and suppliers
• Strong leader capable of working successfully in matrix organisation, as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results
• Experience in working with and managing relationships
• Experience in developing a processes and procedures to support a growing complex organisation

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor based in Oxfordshire. This opportunity comes with a fantastic opportunity to work om one of the biggest civil engineering projects in the UK and be a part of their Major Projects team.

About the role of Quality Manager

The role of the Quality Manager will be to provide support to both the site team and senior management team of the project, whilst maintaining the business standards across sites. This opportunity will be to work on one of the biggest and most complex infrastructure projects in the UK.

Responsibilities for Quality Manager

• Conduct external audits and quality audits with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Deliver Quality assurance training across sites.
• Collaborating closely with the client achieving their quality standards.

Requirements for Quality Manager

• Strong understanding of ISO standards and regulation changes
• An understanding of integrated Management systems
• Previous experience conducting site investigations.

Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Director, this role provides Product Assurance (QA/PA) to an approved product portfolio and introduction of new product (NPI), delivering cost effective, efficient solutions to meet Customer / partner requirements and business objectives. Liaising with associated disciplines, functions and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), key activities include: Managing a Team of experienced Quality/Technical Engineers, PA Inspectors, planning and surveillance, internal/external auditing to appropriate standards, attendance at project meetings, reviews and events, Customer liaison and Supplier / Partner surveillance and the provision of QA expertise and advice. The role will drive operational/manufacturing excellence delivering aviation standard governance include root cause analysis, defect analysis, process improvement, preventative action and process management activities. Driving aviation standard inspection on the manufacturing line and through life service. This role may include occasional travel to other sites.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Ideally you will have 5 years+ experience of working within a quality environment in the aviation industry. You will have detailed knowledge of current quality and related working practices and standards and be a qualified auditor or similar experience.

ISO Compliance Manager required to be responsible for implementing, maintaining and delivering quality and compliance.

You will have a technical, manufacturing or engineering background and experience in a quality or compliance role relating to standards in medical devices both in the UK and the EU. Ideally with high tech design and manufacturing.

ISO13485, MDD, MDR experience and understanding of medical devices is essential.

Role responsibilities

Maintaining ISO-9001 and ISO-13485 Quality Manuals, procedures and related documentation.

Understanding of the MDD and MDR regulations.

Liaison and management of Notified Body audits.

Management and data provision to provide customers with compliance certification relating to various international requirements such as Li-Po & Li-Ion battery compliance, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, TSA, FDA, CE, Certificates of Origin.

Management of internal records relating to compliance and quality throughout the design/production/manufacturing process.
