As a Senior Engineer I Quality Intelligence, you will be trusted to analyze data of non-conforming events and supply quality issues, to resolve root cause of issues, and to lead teams to design and implement proactive solutions to eliminate and solve quality related issues at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!
In this role, a typical day will include:
Supporting or leading post-market Voice of Customers (VOC)/investigations to identify root causes, establishing corrective actions and completing prevention plans in products and/or processes (both internal and external).
Establishing corrective actions for deviations, providing formal structured approach to assist in determining root cause for nonconforming events and evaluating Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) for lifecycle effectiveness.
Reviewing Deviations, Investigations, Impact Assessments, and other forms of Quality documentation at daily triage meetings.
Generating and presenting post-production risk review deliverables for site products.
Assuring timely completion of CAPA items.
Trending customer complaint data, leading and following-up on action items, and communicating to site leadership, regional teams, and global leadership.
Proficiency in process, product, and data review within respective field of operation in accordance with job responsibility and function, able to troubleshoot process, material and technique-related issues.
Working with Quality Organization to collect Voice of Customers and understand non-conforming events.
Working with the Supplier Management Organization to mine, analyze data and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions that will help eliminate supplier related quality issues.
Analyzing data/metrics using sound statistical practices.
Developing and implementing solutions based on statistical analysis.
Researching and writing special investigations for trends.
Reacting quickly to trends and issues detected by quality intelligence data and effectively addressing them.
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
2 Years of Relevant Experience
Work Hours: 1st shift (8 hours): Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Travel Requirements: 0 – 10% (domestic and international)
